Glasses?

I wear glasses, never would switch to contacts. I feel they make me look good, I've always had people tell me I look good in them. I wear black framed ones like Rivers Cuomo from Weezer, I love my glasses!!

I don't wear glasses all of the time, but readers help on the days I have to smash out a ratio decidendi or a contract. They're almost a professional necessity. Looks really great when I'm in a suit too. Still struggle to read my own handwriting at times tho. Yup. Stu's def got lawyer's handwriting

I just started wearing reading glasses a couple of years ago (Thanks, 40), and I've had some interesting reactions. This one contractor with whom I've worked for over four years made a comment a while back. We're pretty close and joke around with one another while working, but he told me that he always thought I was nice looking, but he found me very attractive when I'm wearing glasses.

That was so completely unexpected and I blushed. He apologized and said it was an honest observation. So now it's a joke when I put on my glasses around him. I say "Look, not" and then I put on my glasses and say "Hot." We laugh.

I kept thinking of that old saying my Dad used "Men never make passes at women who wear glasses." Guess not so much anymore.

At 22 I was dx'd with macular degeneration and one of my eyes had weakened thanks to working on a computer. I pretty much wore them everyday, the one eye gained strength and the other became weak. Finally they seemed to correct themselves and even though I have 20/20 day vision I need them now for reading and driving at night.

During the day I don't wear them, never wanted to have contacts and I've always thought glasses were hot (even before I had to start wearing them).

i wore glasses in high school and switched to contacts a few months after graduating and i must say that i prefer wearing contacts instead. they give you back your peripheral vision so i'd say thats one of the many advantages they have over glasses. but i will say that i love it when women can pull off the "sexy teacher" look when wearing glasses - thats pretty hot

I have been someone that has worn glasses my whole life. From elementary school all the way until now. During my high school years I got contacts and would wear them and my glasses. I wanted to know how people feel about those with glasses. I wear both my contacts and glasses but I feel that I get more looks when I have in contacts. And maybe this is just all in my head but when I see someone that I find attractive, glasses or not, they are still attractive. And my glasses are pretty hip (vintage military style) so I know there cool, lol. Like I said maybe it's all in my head.

What are your thoughts on folks with glasses?

I think you may have gotten just as many looks when you were wearing glasses but may not have noticed because you didn't have peripheral vision. I like guys with and without glasses as long as the glasses don't hide your eyes. I've been wearing contacts and glasses since I was 10 and think I look good in both but normally wear contacts because I can't stand not having peripheral vision.

I will disagree about the peripheral vision being better with contacts. I can see just as far with glasses as without.


I will say this, for years I wore contacts because "I" thought I looked better and was getting more attention from males with out glasses. When I went back to glasses I got just as much attention as with out. It's a mental thing.

Oh I think glasses on a guy are totally hot. But if yours aren't getting you the attention you think you deserve, then it's time to get a different style. Try something new. But to me, glasses are a plus in my book!

Well as a guy who is 25 who wore glasses his whole life, left me tell you. I am judge a lot. I cant possibly have big dick because I wear glasses. Recently (last year) I got contacts. One of my female coworkers said to me "you are actually cute without your glasses" Her and another was practically gushing. And they were loud.

It made me feel bad. Cuz I sat next to them (in a cubicle) for 2 years with glasses. Sigh should have got contacts sooner
