Although minor, it still scares me... I've never done more than break a nail in my 19 years of existence. I should be back around Sunday, maybe earlier... This is also a goodbye in-case one in a million chances I don't make it (I'm paranoid alright :p )

You'll be fine. I will keep you in my thoughts and send many positive ones your way. We will look forward to your return on Sunday, Kink. There is nothing to be afraid of, you will be fine. Sam

Good luck, Kinkster. I'm sure you'll be fine.
(I just had minor surgery, and if my story is at all instructive, I should tell you that everything went swimmingly. No probs at all. But, like you, I had a touch of apprehension beforehand. It's natural.)
But Christ, I'm a geezer compared to you. You're about 11, right?
At your age, with your natural recuperative capacity, you'll do fine.

Kink, Think good thoughts and don't worry, they know what they're doing. I'll keep you in my nightlys and look forward to your return on Sunday.

You'll be fine, it'll be uncomfortable but what's a few days of discomfort compared to the lifetime of benefits you'll get for your surgery - good luck, see you in a few days xxxxx

Tink, I will say a special prayer just for you tonight.

A Few Helpful Hints:
  • Post surgery do EVERYTHING they tell you to do
  • DO NOT smoke
  • DO NOT drink anything through a straw
  • DO warm salt water rinses, they really do take away the soreness
I know it doesnt make you feel any better but all 4 of my wisdom teeth were impacted and had to be removed by an oral surgeon under anesthesia. I survived and so will you.

I had them take out my wisdom teeth one at a time just for the drugs!!

I just remembered when I had my tonsils out- man, I was so SURE I was gonna die!! I had to have everybody come in my room and tell me goodbye before they wheeled me into the OR. LOL. And when I think of the surgeries and accidents Ive had since....... oh hell. I'll still do it for the drugs! :)

Wishing you comfort and speedy recovery. Be strong darlin. You'll be back!

Are you having your wisdom teeth removed? I had four removed. The surgery was SUPER easy, I never felt a thing and don't remember a large portion of afterward due to the wonderul drugs. The only part that sucked was the constant taste of blood for a week after.

I understood that Think Kink is having jaw surgery to correct a substantial misalignment. Bone reshaping and temporary surgical wires for the healing period.

I had also 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed under complete anesthesia and although painful afterward, the pain was over pretty quickly. A few days. I was told later by a friend who is medical professional that the drugs I was given as painkillers sometimes induced mild psychotic reactions. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it...
