Wow. How things change.
Growing up, NO ONE wore black socks with shorts. It was laughable--something an old man would wear.
Somewhere in the 90's that changed. (People like Andre Agassi starting do it, among other, no doubt) and then it was ok. I respect that it turns you on, but not me, man. I sometimes go to the NY Jacks club, and I see a few guys naked except for black business socks and it's a total turn off. As I said, it just says "Old geezer" to me. But to each his own.

Wow. Cultural and possibly generation difference here. Americans of my generation would not have been caught dead in BLACK socks for anything other than long pants and work/school. We would never even have thought about wearing sports shorts with fuckin black socks, not to mention being naked in black socks.
White athletic socks, tho', are a different matter because they betoken athletic activity, lockerrooms, etc where guys are hot.
Andre Agassi introduced black sox and shorts into tennis and that was a reflection of changing times.
I've been to jack off clubs where some of the guys wear black sox (sometimes with loafers) and it's a total turn of to me. Well, I guess to each his own, eh?
