Hey guys, just to give you some background info before I ask a question.

So I have an attractive straight neighbour that I always found so hot and after years as I got older we started to chat more- I am in my mid 20s and he just hit 30 I think. I know he is straight as he always talks about girls with me and my family and once was apparently in Amsterdam with mates and had an option to join for a treesome with his mate and a girl but declined as it was not 'his thing'. Anyway, he invited me for a chill night as his mum was away. This was the first time we were together alone. As soon as he answered the door he was in his tank top and work pants with his belt and pants button undone which he kept like that for the entire night while we were chilling on his bed watching netflix while chatting. We got a bit drunk and had a great time and talked more than we ever before except any sexual things. He knows I am bi and I did not want to push for anything and scare him away as he is super cool but the entire time I kept getting distracted by his bulge and the belt as he is obviously packing.

So my question is was he hinting something or just felt comfortable? As my friends (most of them gay) tell me I should've mentioned his open trousers. This happened months ago but wanna reach out to him and plan something as we get along very well.

I find it odd that (a) he knows you're bi, and (b) he answered the door with a tank top, and the button on his pants and his belt both undone. Most guys who identify as straight would be aware of the message that might be sending to a guy who doesn't identify as straight. Now, he could simply be one of those guys who has trouble "reading the room." I think you're going to need more interactions to determine what the story is.

If he is (truly) straight, it was just feeling comfortable. Perhaps that may not be the case.

Even with the unbuttoned thing, I'd figure he'd have sent another hint your way, like commenting on soon some hot chick on the telly or saying he's been so horny lately, etc. Next time, you might bring the convo around to chicks he's been hooking up with, or last time he hooked up, and then move on to how lucky those chicks are to be with a guy like him, or how horny he must be if he hasn't hooked up and see if that opens any doors.
