I really am not sure what to say. The comment you posted i guess is just the tip of the iceberg. Did he threaten you in some way like with rape or assault? I would like to read more of what exactly he did. I ve had my share of threatening, offensive pm's and posts in my gallery but I wouldnt consider it a rape. For the most part I believe you and will take your word that he did something bad. I would just like to read more evidence of what he did.

I never said it was excusable, it's predictable and happens. I rethought for a moment like you asked, I still don't see the big deal. In the past couple of days I've been referred to as an asshole, retard, and a few other names, those userid's got away with it, I don't retaliate, I don't take this personally, because unless someone hacks LPSG and gets even what real limited info about me that I did have to provide, they still don't have squat that really hurts me in any way that really matters in a real world way. The userid's that have been victimized have and continue to empower this way beyond what it should've been allowed in the first place.

For the poster suggesting legal action ? even if you get an IP, try getting that identity from the ISP. It's a joke, someone did it to several of us at work a few months back from a yahoo account. Yahoo won't release it, they become legally liable and unless it's a lawsuit that really pre-exists or Department of Homeland Security, you are chasing a ghost. So with that in mind, protect yourself going into any situation. The worst someone can do is challenge your credibility as to what your profile represents anyway. WTF do I care what anyone thinks about my profile. I know who I am, what I stand for and regardless of what anyone's opinion of any given content of a post may be, they are entitled that, but why would I care. At the end of the day, anyone here employing me or effecting my life at that level ? It is what it is and the day I or LPSG decides my days are over here, then I'll be in a position to have to deal with that on that day. What few PM's I've received even sent are not antagonistic, sometimes my posts are volatile enough. I rarely use PM's. I certainly don't want to make it my daily chore to empty that trash/recycle bin.

Absolutely, and uncut1234 is right on the money with his advices. The first PM's dictate the tone of a private interaction. So don't read subsequent emails from that userid and if you get a barrage relatively close together from different userid's, chances are those need to be ignored on the list just the same. Collect all of them and contact a moderator. The software allows administrators to handle the situation far more effectively than a public plea for other members to intervene. To be honest, we're just as helpless as the victim is. Reading them has got to be unnecessary baggage too. How long can a conversation be if you don't respond, simply go about your own agenda here @ LPSG. Empowering PM's of this type is just absurd.

Cinn, I have to sideways agree with some of what was said here.. despite the unpopularity it might bring me (Not that I've cared before). This is the internet, you need thick skin to be on it. You have to know what you're working with. You're part of an adult website. There are going to be a more concentrated amount of people who have tastes different than you. That's a given. I can see why this guy retaliated on you for ratting him out.. it's an easy thing to do and it gets people angry. It violates their safety, sense of being and causes the person to throw a shit fit. Sounds pretty fun if you ask me and that exactly what this person was looking to do.

Live and learn I guess, you're probably gone now.. but he's won in his mind. He's gotten you to leave the site, he's happy. Ignoring him would have worked much better. You're right they will be monsters. But the fact is that if people feel they cannot post about abusive posters then there is something terribly wrong. How much can someone threaten you on the internet? Unless you've given the person illicit directions to your home and he's threatening you.. then I think you're pretty safe. Report buttons and ignore features are made for reasons. I'm sorry it happened to you.
