To the OP: Obviously, you need to get a proper medical assessment from a qualified doctor, if you haven't already done so. The doctor will also be able to test you for other sexually transmitted infections, which should be done.
That doesn't answer your question, 'tis true, but it seems to me that this is the most important consideration at this stage.
