Henry Cavill (talk about male perfection) starred in a horror-genre movie, Blood Creek, described as a mix of action, the occult and Nazi mayhem, along with Dominic Purcell and Michael Fassbender. (The male cast gives me one giant hard-on!!)

Unfortunately (at least for Cavill), it's going straight to DVD release on January 19, 2010, which tells me Henry won't be expecting an Oscar nomination (or much in royalties).

Henreeeee! {sigh}. The man who was almost Superman. I almost didn't recognize him in that "Hellraiser" flick he did (what with the shaggier hair and the Yank accent).
How can we ever forget that bod in "The Tudors" ep0101? ...Or that hand-down-the-jeans (and that treasure trail) in his Flaunt pics?

I finally had to admit to myself the reason I taped seasons I &II was not for JRM, but for this guy. I didn't realize that both he and Matt Bomer were finalists for SUPERMAN.

I hear Mr. Cavill has a boat-load of brothers. I would love to take a gander at them.

He has three brothers (just a dinghy-full). He's the second youngest. Can't find a pic of the Cavill progeny, but the laws of probability tell me that he must be the finest-looking of the lot. Generally, gorgeous sperm meets fabulous ovum only once in a reproductive lifetime. (And, yes, I admit there are exceptions, the Evans bois, et. al., but you gotta admit lightning rarely strikes a family twice--but sometimes very nearby. Just ask my brother, lol!)

He packed on some serious pounds rather quickly. He used to have a very twinkish figure, but my god..not anymore! His masculinity went through the roof with the hairy chest, buzzed head and the muscle.

He's also been unofficially dubbed the most unlucky actor in Hollywood. He fell short of the Bond role recently, too. I agree though...he's much too young for Bond. Maybe in 10 years. Until then, I'll keep drooling.

Well, we can officially "un-dub" him as the most unlucky actor in Hollywood. They officially announced that he WILL play "Superman" in the new Warner Bros. film.

Which means he has even more bulking up to do.

I think he's a good choice, he's unknown enough to do something new with the character. Nolan will make this Superman have more layers than any other before. If DC were smart they'd make Christopher Nolan the creative director of all their film endeavors. Green Lantern looks dumb.

Instead of choosing the right actor for the role they chose the safe one that will sink the franchise !

I'm glad they are not trying to get a "Christopher Reeve" lookalike. God bless Chris, but there's no law that says that Superman MUST look like him. In fact, that was one of the downfalls of Superman Returns in the first place.

I'd wear Henry Cavill OUT.
