I think he thinks he's a bigger star than he thinks he is and that often screws him over.
The way things are going, Warhammer won't happen, the MCU will hire a younger actor for Wolverine and Highlander itself isnt a guaranteed hit.

That might be the case, but it is obvious what it is. There were multiple things spoiled for me from this site, and I happen to be a person that thinks that any form of spoiler is a BS thing to post on a general forum.
