because i dunno where a free clinic is and my health insurance doesn't kick in until september 1st. i need to get in touch with my friend lee, he knows where it is. i honestly don't think it's herpes. these are just two bumps (well...one a quarter, cause one is almost gone). they don't itch. they don't hurt (unless you REALLY sueeze them, but what doesn't hurt after you squeeze them lol). herpes looks like it breaks out in clusters. and i have no penile discharge, or any other symptoms.

So lemme see if I understand this right; You dunno where a free clinic is but your friend does, and that plus no health insurance starting until 9/1/2006 is all that's preventing you from going?
Have you ever thought of picking up the phone, dialing the operator for directory assistance, or perhaps look through your phone book under medical services? and with regards to the clinic, did you ever stop to think that they might be willing to entertain a payment plan until your insurance goes into effect?

Look, this doesn't have to be that complicated, and there are ways to get you the attention you may need. You don't want this potentially exacerbate and metasacise do you?

So let me see if I am understanding all of this. It has now been 3 days and still you have done nothing to take care of your medical condition. Sure, you have told us it's all about the free clinic and not knowing where it is and someone named Lee who does know. Call 411 or whatever information system you have where you are. Call an ambulence. Just get to a hospital or something. if you go to an emergency room, you can always use an alias or supply some incorrect information at which point billing you will not be an issue and they can also give you information about any free clinic locations
Even though it may not be a serious health matter since you have not keeled over dead there may be long term medical matters from whatever it is that is on your penis. Why take chances? What if what you are seeing on the surface has deeper roots and is digging deeper into your shaft?
Just go to a doctor or something and do it now before it's too late and they have to slice your entire penis off.

please dont call an ambulance or go to the ER for this.....if anything give the hospital a call and ask where a clinic is. going to the er for this would only tie up resources, doctors time and a huge loss of money for the hospital.....ERs are for emergencies, and should not be used as free clinics

@Heather: with several accusations from guys that you "gave them something," even if you didn't give them something, I have to ask - are you having sex without condoms?

@surferboy: look in the yellow pages, or do a search online. There are resources that will direct you to the appropriate clinic.

@baseball: I sure hope it isn't the first thing that came to my mind after his description... know what I mean?

yeh see the problem is I can think of about 30 STDs off the top of my head that present with pustules or similar lesions but none fit the description he mentioned. Also, its impossible to diagnose without seeing anything......

but they aren't pustules. there's no pus. there's not even a white head. it's a red bump. like a zit that hasn't come to a white head yet.

could it be some kind of bug bite?

talking to you like a young doctor - it could be a multitude of things, none of which can be ruled in or out without a physical exam

talking to you like a guy in his 20s - dude, relax.....its probably not anything to worry about, however, should still be checked out. I wouldnt lose sleep over it. When you go to the clinic see how much an std panel will cost. if youre sexually active its a good idea

of course i'm sexually active. i've been sexually active since i was 13 >_> but i've always been safe. i just don't know where this came from. also like, i always make out with whomever i've done thing with. if it were herpes, wouldn't i also have herpes in my mouth, like cold sores?

it doesnt fit the profile of herpes dude.....and anyways herpes is most infectious when there is a lesion (sore) however, the virus does shed even when no sore is present so it is possible to become infected when someone has no visible lesion. Shedding also occurs more a few days before a lesion is about to come

if you have genital herpes (which i dont think you have), it does not mean you should have oral herpes too. (unless you selfsuck:smile: ) oral herpes is transmitted only if you have oral sex with someone with genital herpes and kiss someone with oral herpes.

it has been a week now. how is it? did you come to a doctor?

I had the exact same thing. I thought it was herpes but in reading the replies in this forum I'm not so sure. The pimples were the size of a pin head, you could barely see them. I tried to pop one and just got blood, no pus. I had been extremely stressed out when these appeared. They can't test for herpes unless they test the actual sore. Hope it turns out to be nothing for both of us.

I hope it's nothing but dude...

Herpes can and does sometimes look like pimples. It doesn't always come in clusters.

It can hurt but sometimes it has no symptoms at all to very small symptoms. That's how it gets spread so easily. People never realize that they have it and they have sex with other people.

Call the city and find out where the free clinic is. Get it checked out before you spread it around, if you have it.

It's also not the end of the world.

NOW GO DUDE!!

I've kinda had your same symptoms before. Mine were a little above the base of my dick on the top around my hair line. I flipped out and went to my doctor and he gave me creme ( antibiotic ) to put on them ( there were two ). He told me it wasn't any sort of STD but just zitty stress thing. Never had anything like that happed to me again.. though its very very scarey cuz I have been in a relationship with the same guy for 2 years at the time... I was thinking, i will cut him * ah hem * if hes cheated then gave me a std. LOL

Go to the Dr!

the lesions it cause ARE painful.....thats in the criteria for it to be herpes.....i is possible to have asymptomatic viral shedding.

if you have a herpes lesion it is painful......it has to do with the pathophysiology of the virus because it lives in the nerve cells.....so unless you have a peripheral neuropathy such as diabetes or something else, the lesion IS PAINFUL
