I remember reading an interview with Conrad years ago. He indicated he was very sexually promiscuous during the WWW years and probably would have contracted AIDS if it had been active during that era. I'm sure he was ballin' anyone who tickled his fancy.

Whenever I see any of those discreet, early Playgirl photos, I often find myself wondering if the magazine had any ful-frontal ones taken with the intention of publishing them in foreign editions of the magazine, as Cosmopolitan did with its famous Burt Reynold centerfold.

I was very disappointed when Gary did not do a full frontal nude spread for the August 1973 edition of Playgirl. They should have had a policy if you want a paycheck you gotta show the meat ! I wonder if he did any full frontal photos when he started working for "Pinky" Rosenberg as a nude model during the period of 1955-57 ? If so, hopefully they will turn up one day. Pinky met Gary in a health club and they apparently partnered up. Gary's "exposure" with Pinky's management opened doors for him in Hollywood. .

I am also disappointed that his nudity didn't go all the way, although I understand now that at the time the magazine was being rather cautious as too how much of the men's bodies it would show. For a while, I was hoping that, as in the case of the Burt Reynold's Cosmopolitan centerfold, there might be a frontal photo from the layout somewhere that someone might eventually post to the Internet.

I recently found a dvd "finding America" or something like that at the dollar store(actually it was 50 cents) . It had Carl Betz and Jeff Bridges in it. Both were shirtless and hum-in-a hum-in-a!! Well worth the 2 quarters!! Carl was nice and hairy, still in great shape. Jeff was young, like 19 or 20. I always wondered how his brother and dad could be so hairy but not him. One would think that he would be at least somewhat hairy, not so bare-chested.

Basically it all got put to a stop on broadcast TV after the Janet Jackson "Nipplegate" Super Bowl incident. I was pissed because Smallville had JUST started occasionally putting in scenes with Tom Welling's ass and that came to a screeching halt. Also I think HDTV played a role as actors were more willing to get naked briefly before freeze frames were so detailed.

Me too from 1970s reruns. Reportedly, he had to be sewn into some of his pants. And they would rip multiple times during filming.

Robert Conrad was a dick on Battle of the Network Stars, which he took as seriously as a heart attack. Still looked good though.

Nothing was better or more unexpected then that time there was some sort of controversy and Conrad and Gabe Kaplan agreed to run 100yd dash to decide the win and Gabe Kaplan smoked Conrad.
