And you can still have memories. Get rid of them NOW!:biggrin1: You remind me of those people who keep birthday cards and christmas cards for like 30yrs! That's you right? If you get rid of something then something new will come into your life (like a fungal infection). Getting rid of clutter is cathartic! You can do it, put your ass into it!
Nothing wrong with keeping your correspondence. Years and years from now you take them to your nursing home and can remind yourself of all the people who loved you and the contributions you've made to the lives of others. We might erect buildings, publish books, cure disease, or travel in space, yet time will steal it all away and these too shall fade.
I have a suspicion that who we love and loved us in return will matter most at the end of all things.
