And you can still have memories. Get rid of them NOW!:biggrin1: You remind me of those people who keep birthday cards and christmas cards for like 30yrs! That's you right? If you get rid of something then something new will come into your life (like a fungal infection:eek:). Getting rid of clutter is cathartic! You can do it, put your ass into it!

Nothing wrong with keeping your correspondence. Years and years from now you take them to your nursing home and can remind yourself of all the people who loved you and the contributions you've made to the lives of others. We might erect buildings, publish books, cure disease, or travel in space, yet time will steal it all away and these too shall fade.

I have a suspicion that who we love and loved us in return will matter most at the end of all things.

They are just bits of paper/objects. What a weight to carry on your shoulders with all the fear of losing them. It's the people that matter not material things.

By the power of Fungus Shui I order you to fucking get rid of all your crap! OOh! I nearly scared myself then!

When you're me.. the only stability you have is the past. What may work for you... wont work for me.

I really don't know why you posted the thread then if you already know what you are going to do. What you want people to say is "oh you must keep everything as it is so important and special to you". Have you ever seen a programme on tv called "life laundry"?

Oh shut the fuck up!
I wasn't looking for anyone to say anything... I was curious as to other peoples methods of keeping or deleting mail. Get a life.. stop being so inflamitory... There was nothing asking about my own habbits... your the one who tried to tell me I was wrong for being sentimental.

LOL -- sentimentalism be damned!

I have a horrible memory for names. That's why I keep the pm's -- because I don't want to insult someone by forgetting them.

Then I got too many pm's to manage...

and now viking1 has told me how to download them so that I can sort them into an "address book" thingy -- and then I won't forget people!

I don't keep messages. However, if something were that important to me, I'd just print it off.
Yes i dont either. It fills up very quickly and i make sure to delete everything. The pm system itself runs better and it wont put a drain on the server of LPSG. So its a good idea all around to not store the messages on here. You can Print them or burn them to disc. So if everyone would delete their saved messages Lpsg would run faster. I wonder how many people are saving all their messages and how many they are saving. I would imagine its in the Thousand's with some
