I don't mind being corrected if I've posted something wrong, like I've misstated facts. I do want to learn, and a group like this gives us a good sounding board. I don't even mind if someone disagrees with me and wants to discuss it- but if someone thinks they have the right to tell me what I ought to be saying or feeling, that's bullshit and will get someone on my ignore list pretty fast.

Please do elaborate. This has been an ongoing discussion between those who feel stiffled by moderation and those who feel it is necessary to keep a balance. Personally, I come on line to enjoy myself. I dont appreciate being called out of my name because someone is having a bad day, doesnt agree with me on an issue or just doesnt like my personal demeanor. Yes, it does bother me because I try not to do the same and I dont need to be told that I am a wimp, a wuss, or pollyanna because I let it be known.(those are the more polite words)

The moderation here is very loose. I dont mind names, they help get the anger out, and they also let me know whether I should even continue discussion with the person.

It just pisses me off in other forums, when a low level flame war is waged, and then the moderators come in and say "that was over the line" allthough "the line" was being quietly crossed dozens of times before.
