Is average considered "small"?

Strangely enough, I had a simular conversation with a friend of mine the other day who had noticed that when women speak of a man's size, they tend to only use the descriptors small and huge. I think this is for a couple of reasons. I think the main reason that this happens is that people tend not to talk about something unless it's remarkable. It just so happens that average isn't very remarkable. The other reason for which I can see this occuring is the same as what njqt said, which is that small sample sizes, which is what most women tend to have, can lead to skewed perceptions.

Most women are happy with average unless you are with a sizequeen, and then average is not big enough. As for me, since my vagina is deeper than most women, ( by about 2 inches) I need at least 9 x 6 to feel satisfied.

9"X6"? Probably in your dream. 9" penis, measured from the top and not bone pressed, is very very rare. Porn stars like Peter North and Rocco don't even reach 9", if they are measured from the top.

True. My experiences are way skewed too... I've been with 8 guys, and while I don't go around with a measuring tape, I'm pretty good at estimating and I think that one was small, one was small-average, two were average, and four were above average! (Of those four above average though, two of those came about from me specifically looking for above-average guys. The other two were happenstance. My longest-lasting relationship was with one of the above-average happenstance guys. He and I even still have some "benefits" to our friendship occasionally...like when he helped me move a couple of weeks ago...)

In my opinion, too many people are hung up on the size issue..Yes women brag to other women about sex they have with guys, as Iam sure men brag to other men about when the y have sex with women...

Do they brag about size of their partner's body parts, maybe they do and maybe they don't....

Average is less than half as big as what is possible. So yes. The average man has a small penis. Just because most of them have it, doesn't mean it's not small.

In the US, the average t-shirt is extra large. Does the fact that that's the average make the shirt anything other than a very big shirt? No. It's an extra large shirt. The thing is big. The same goes for penises. Being average doesn't change the fact that they are small.

This is a funny thread. I am on the small side, about 4", and my wife was convinced for years that I was average. She had never been with anyone else and had no other frame of reference. It was only in the past few years when she started using the internet more that she realized that I'm not average. Labels can be so funny...
