It was a joke but I feel bad for people in the US. Most countries let you drink at 18.

portugal used to be 16, but then like 10 years ago they decided to change it to 18 to match the rest of the e.u.
bars and clubs lost a lot of business because they heavily relied on highschoolers going there on the weekends.
on the bright side, no more teenagers showing up drunk/hungover at school
