Jake Gyllenhaal

Bareback's been "Oprahed"

Anyone catch yesterday's Oprah with the cast of Brokeback Mountain? I did unfortunately.

Between the cooing and billing between Heath and his girlfriend (who played his wife in the film) and Jake saying "oh I liked the scene with Anne Hathaway in the backseat of the car", and something to the tune of "oh I needed a scene like that after what I did with Heath"... it was a huge hetero-fest.

The giggly discomfort of the inflated Ms. Oprah, the entire cast of "Brokeback", and the audience effectively undid the seriousness of Ang Lee's groundbreaking film.

Sometimes I think Oprah's name must be next to the word "bourgeois" in the dictionary. That beyotch really pisses me off.

Well, it's to be expected. Media folks have been cracking serious jokes (all in good fun, though) about the running gay cowboy theme. While I believe that everybody gets that there's a lot to offer in the story, comedians still see it as useful fodder, so naturally all the gay stereotypical stuff would follow.

I didn't expect much from Heath, but I thought Jake was doing such a cool and collected job -- even honestly offering in one interview how he knows he's straight, but that if he were to fall in love with a man, it wouldn't bother him. Is he trying to push that he's straight? Maybe. Is the gay attention getting to him a little bit? Understandably. Regardless of his sexuality, is he becoming quite the talented actor? Of course.

Personally, I wouldn't give Oprah that much credit. Start protesting if audience numbers for "Brokeback" significantly dwindle in the coming weeks -- or, worse, if some mouthy bastards start condemning the work based on anti-homsexuality sentiment.

And, by the way, it looks maybe a little longer than average but thin in his shorts. Good build. Think he looks better clean shaven. Maybe he's a shower.

Point taken Blackthorne.

I keep forgeting that the world sees things (for the most part) from a very myopic stanpoint. And I realize that the "Divine Miss O" needs to pander to an undoubtedly broad demographic audience.

I suppose it's the kiss of death for anything to be featured on that show from a creative standpoint, truth be told.

I wish I'd seen Mr. Gyllenhaal's interview on Leno. I've heard he 'held his own' (pun intended). Unlike when Hal Sparks was on from "Queer as Folk" Leno seems to have been unable to successfully ridicule the "boys kissing boys" thingy with Jake. Bravo Signor Gyllenhaal.

With respect to "Oprah" I will say that simply showcasing the movie mainstreamed it more than any other single media event. For that I dare say it's worth it alone.

For a bit of fun? Go into yahoo "Christian chat" and simply write "I've just seen Brokeback Mountain! It's wonderful and I recommend it highly" and watch the ensuing outrage!

It's huge fun.

EXT: Afternoon Brokeback Mountain, valleyside. Sunny and very picturesque.

Ennis and Jack are looking over the sheep in the valley.

Ennis (to Jack as he is watching those sheep): You know...I ain't queer.

Jack: You wanna do it again? (pops off his own beltbuckle, straddles a big boulder as he unzips his own zipper,
as Jack's pants fall to the ground--Ennis has already unzipped, hard as heck, spits on Jack's (censored) hole enters him from behind and they go at it again like they did the night before inside the tent. Jack (says to Ennis in ecstacy): I ain't either, f*cker--so f*ck me!

I just saw the entire cast of "Brokeback Mountain" on Oprah and I thought that Jake and Heath acted a bit immature regarding the idea of them being straight actors in a gay movie. They acted goofy when asked about the kiss and the tent scene, etc.

OMG!!! How did Jake Gyllenhal's face get on my body???
EXT: Nighttime on Brokeback Mountain

One guy walking around nonchalantly eating a jar of peanut butter. Another guy is eating a big ol Hershey's Chocolate bar. Both guys trip over Ennis and Jack's tent while they were "acting very unqueer" if you know what I mean...
Guy 1: You got chocolate in my peanut butter.
Guy 2: You got peanut butter on my chocolate.

Director says Cut!

Jake (out of character): Could somebody help get this jar of peanut butter off my dick?!
Heath (out of character): Yeah and pull this Hershey's bar out the crack of my ass!

Thanks Matt--[I give much love back to you. :)]

In Brokeback Mountain, I really didn't find Jake Gyllenhaal very sexy. I found Heath to be sexier because of that deep Texan accent. That voice was really sexy to me. I thought that Jake resembled K.D. Lang for some reason.

Guess you and I saw the same show. No kidding, huh?

Back to the superficial...

I'm just sorry that Jake used a double for the scene in "Brokeback Mountain" where Jack and Ennis jumped off the rocks into the water. If he had done that shot for himself, we'd have some photos like we have of Heath. (Just wishful thinking on my part.)

Ahhh..

I can't tell whether he is packing or not... *Wipeing my computer screen*

Alex8 or Pecker, I heard that Jake did a frontal nude in "Jarhead". Do you guys have anything from that movie?
