Anything we hear about her has passed through a giant press/PR machine so I’d take anything sex related with a huge grain of salt honestly. Especially regarding something like virginity

If that “slipped out” then it was definitely to make Jake look like he isn’t gay.
His relationship with Kirsten Dunst appeared legit at the time. But in hindsight they were so cutesy and public that it’s questionable. Perhaps it was legit “puppy love” though. However, after that, his “relationships” have always seemed sketchy (particularly the Reese Witherspoon and Taylor Swift stuff). Never mind how Austin Nichols became his “best friend” who he went everywhere with for a year and a half, and then we never saw them together again. I also recall how he showed so much discomfort while initially promoting Brokeback Mountain, way more than Heath, Michelle and Anne. Definitely didn’t seem secure in himself.
Ultimately, though, we don’t know his experiences and struggles. We don’t know the dimensions of his sexuality or what types of fluidity or confusions or contradictions he may have experienced. And we don’t know where he is in the romantic, sexual, affection, emotional investment, relationship contentment spectrum. If he isn’t overall hetero-leaning and doesn’t want to legit be with a chick, I appreciate that he’s at least not indulging fronts. Though he’d probably never be publicly “out”.
As much as I'd love to see my favorite actor being out (assuming he's actually gay / bi) we know the effects of coming out in hollywood. maybe some day after he retires acting
Things are shifting. Though I suppose we’re still some ways away from seeing an A-lister/leading man be unabashedly into his sex and have same-sex commitments. And once you’ve indulged manipulation and possibly bearding and bought into the “Hollywood” way of presenting yourself for so long, it’s hard to get out of that cycle. While as I said, we don’t know his traumas, experiences, struggles, journey, dimensions or where Jake is (or anyone is) in the gender, romantic, sexual, affection, emotional investment, relationship fulfillment spectrum.
Jake is also a child of Hollywood. He grew up there, was a child actor, and his choices suggest he has always wanted to be a Hollywood star, despite the stage work. Maybe he really wants the wealth too. He knows his fortune depended on being cute and in blockbuster films and I'm sure his handlers and entire community have made it so that he felt he has to pair up with a woman for his career. Once you deny being gay you have to go through some sort of explanation as to why you couldn't be more honest and he's done so much of what looks like bearding there'll be too many questions and derision.
It's so curious – he does edgy film work, is better than many Hollywood actors on stage, can sing - but he has a chance for the money. Not sure I blame him for that.

He's talking out of his arsehole ,its a load of fantasy tosh.
If anything, the flirtation "between" Jake and Tom seems very one-sided (more Jake than Tom, from what I can tell) and given that he's been so adamant about not being gay (or even bisexual) that it borders on the insulting ("Oh look we're a couple ha ha, isn't that funny but of course not gay, ew!). And the fact that Tom doesn't seem to reciprocate to me comes off a little creepy for Jake to keep it up.

Jake’s ass has gotten rounder as he’s gotten older. I appreciate that he was willing to show it off in his younger days. But it used to be flat as hell.

That's the photoshoot at Terry Richardson's, if I'm not mistaken. Considering what Richardson likes to get into behind the scenes, one can only imagine how they accommodated the sensitive golden boy.
