Perhaps a full body shot would be good. We have no perspective with which to compare.
Remember, you can show any bulge you want so long as it doesn't look like you're trying to show off.

I LOVE those jeans and the bulge they show! Wish mine showed that well!
As for showing too much, I would say don't worry about it! You can't help it if Mother Nature was very generous to you. No law against that!
As long as you don't intentionally try to draw attention to it (like grabbing yourself all the time), then I would think you should be fine.

This is a key point. I show a bulge in some jeans and not others (same cut different denim wash) and I never want to look like I am trying to show off-- because I am not.
