I think that's Jensen's natural hairline. if you look at pictures from his DOOL times, he has the same like cow lick in the front.

Very, very few men in their 40's have not suffered some degree of hairloss. I just think he's done subtle touch ups over time and nothing wrong with that. The skill today is light years ahead of how they used to look.
Jared unfortunately went to town and it looks terribly obvious and over stuffed.
