I regularly wear one at the gym and enjoy the locker room stares. I love the freedom they give you and the feeling under clothing. If I'm in a particularly frisky mood (most times!) then I'll choose a lower level locker and do some bending over to get my stuff. Just like @pdxjoe, I remember when they were much more commonly worn in sport. These days they tend to be more an expression of sexual preference.
