I'm gonna take a chance at getting my head bitten off here, but my guess has always been something in the 8.x range and quite thick, which was pretty much unheard of in the porn of his day (other than the couple "rubber dickers").

Perhaps the Bag that "you" mention may have had a double use as a BARF BAG which was always out of camera range?
