it is racist. point. blank. period.
it is impossible for you to say the word without meaning offense. saying the n word is inherently offensive when coming from a white person. otherwise, this wouldn't constantly be a topic of debate. choosing to use the word ANYWAY and then having the audacity to tell the group of people it offends and oppresses to "let it go" is racism rooted in white privilege and hostile European colonialist attitudes.
some of you really don't have the nuance to discuss race or the N word with any actual sense being talked, so please stop. it's literally embarrassing to watch. he was wrong for saying, white people are all inherently racist whether they like it or not, Justin simply spewed his racism out loud and all white people also benefit from racism. just because you hear someone who happens to be BLACK say the N word in a song gives you no right to say a word which has historically and to this day been used to oppress, insult and abuse black people around the world.
this website is really showing of the LGTBQ community in its very backwards treatment of PoC and especially black people and the language used towards them, it's so regressive and you would hope to see better from a community that understands what it's like to be oppressed. no one on this website would be fine with a straight cisgendered male calling them a faggot, in ANY context, so why should we allow justin - because he's semi cute - to get away with shit. hold your white people accountable for their words and actions.
