Anecdotes, personal observation. Others have noticed it and commented on it in other online forums and I have agreed with them. That’s all.
There is some scientific basis to that as well.
This study didn't specify men vs women but since bisexual men are more likely to be in closet that women its possible actual number for them is even above 90%

This does not show bisexuals are heteroromantic it just shows they have an aversion to being in gay relationships and possibly want biological children.

That's heteronormativity at work. Sad to see that 6% of gays and lesbians that are in opposite-sex relationships too.

Okay… that’s just heteroromantism by another name. I wouldn’t even bother making the distinction.
Heteroromantic bisexuals claim they are only sexual attracted to the same sex.

This has started to receive pushback from bisexuals in same sex relationships.

It is rather derogatory to gay people to see same sex relationships as solely sexual and is implausible that you could be highly sexually aroused by someone and incapable of developing romantic feelings for them.

When I see a hot man I want to have sex mentally, kiss them and could easily see them as a boyfriend. I can't detach these things.

I think Bi people claiming heteroromanticism are just trying to justify why they are in a straight relationships.

I am 100% gay but I enjoy womens company more than men often. And I find them sweet and I feel protective (not all of them). But I think romance has a substantial sexual component and the way I have seen bi men describe women sounds more like they value them for the reasons I described more like friends or mothers lol.

Obviously there is no societal pressure to be gay and a lot to be heteronormative.

I hope people let people self-identify in whatever way makes sense to them.
