I visited Houston for work this week. I found both Gangnam and Spa World to be very, very nice! They are big, clean, and well appointed. The only complaint I have is about the lack of lounge chairs in the wet area at both spas. I get overheated easily and like having somewhere to lounge outside of pools/saunas for a while without having to leave the wet area. These are the first spas I have visited with zero seating in the wet area. Gangnam has a lounge area on the second floor of the mens locker room, but I still dislike drying off each time. Both spas didn’t seem to be monitored much by the staff there so some guys were having fun in the saunas throughout my visits.
When I arrived in Houston, I tried to recall the spas I had read about on LPSG and start heading there right away. I made the mistake of recalling the wrong spa, and visited King Spa first. It is apparently co-ed and clothed, so I left quickly. The female front desk attendant even walked through the mens locker room freely while I was changing there. There was just one person in the tiny spa, and he was aggressively following me and watching me as soon as I arrived. It seems he needs to be told about Gangnam and Spa World for better cruising opportunities! I wouldn’t have mind getting to know him.

Interesting. I'm sort of a regular at Gangnam, and apart from a visit about a year ago when a middle-aged Korean guy wanted to play, there's never been any play when I've been there. There also used to be a staff member who kept an eye on things in the men's area, though I haven't seen him for a while.

Everything at Spa World is so visible it seemed play was impossible. Might have to visit again, based on your recommendation.

Anyone been to the small spa in palisades park,nj called crystal sauna & spa? Super cheap and cruisy as well. Heading there and meeting a friend to have some fun.

How was it? How many guys are there and is the wet area nude?

Island Spa now has a “lifeguard” chair in the men’s area, with someone staffed in full lifeguard gear. It’s sort of comical. In reality, they walk around and monitor tubs, sauna and steam room….

They had a monitor in there (sans the lifeguard gear) a few years ago. At some point, they stopped it and he began to sit in the locker room area and would peek in every once in a while.

I’ve never been to Imperial but iSpa is probably my favorite of all the ones I’ve been to. The clientele are the hottest of any spa.

"Fun" at Wi Spa? It's a great facility with a lot of attractive naked men ha, but I've always found it to be mostly straight and any "fun" would get you kicked out instantly.

nyc needs a nice gay sauna so people can stop using the actual spas lol

Ironically, any facility that is referred to as the "gay sauna" would actually deter a lot of men from ever going. A lot of these men aren't outwardly gay/bi nor do they see themselves as gay/bi so they would never think about visiting those types of facilities (i.e. bathhouses).

What places like Korean spas, health clubs, heck even a well maintained YMCA facility offers is a place for these straight men to experiment with their sexuality while also maintaining the guise of heterosexuality. A gay sauna would not offer that.

And of course, the gay guys are going to go where the straight men go.

I recommend Wi! Very relaxing and quiet with beautiful men, but no playing. The dry sauna always has a tv with espn showing. I find it distracting when you’re trying to relax and there are ads playing from the tv during a commercial break. Anyway, let us know how it goes!
