Korean Spa

Recognizing the Kinsey scale of a Korean spa, like all spas or gyms, is the key to peaceful coexistence and will resolve a lot of the tensions around these spaces.
Kinsey scale - Wikipedia

Some Korean spas are primarily straight, such as Wi in LA and King in Chicago. Others are varying degrees of gay, especially once you get into the steam room. Typically, the Kinsey scale culture of a spa results from a conscious marketing decision by the owner / management and can't be changed easily, at least not by the actions of a single patron.

In straight spas the clientele are mostly Kinsey 2, 3, 4, and 5's. Invariably, given the presence of many exposed dicks, there will also be some Kinsey 6's in these straight spas. They will be titillated, but also may be frustrated by the lack of action - which is perplexing given the many gay bathhouse and sex club options. But bottom line - many men who identify as both gay and straight come to these spas in part because they enjoy looking at dicks, but they don't want anything more than that.

Some gay men are perplexed by the the fact that many straight men love looking at dicks. But there is overwhelming evidence that they do. If you need proof, just watch almost any straight porn movie. Why else are there so many big dicks in straight porn? Why else is the money shot the man ejaculating? Also, look at the many men who identify as straight on LPSG. There would be so much less social and internal conflict if we could all just accept the fact that the Kinsey scale is real.

Reading this, some straight man will likely get into a huff and say he doesn't want to see dicks. He just goes to the spa to relax, yada yada yada. I could ask the obvious question of why are you on LPSG, but no bother. You do you. I didn't say all men like looking at dicks. Just most men. KInsey 1's certainly exist, though they are much less prevalent than many of us pretend.

So when you go into a spa and its Kinsey scale point is not to your liking, you could get all outraged. You could stomp your feet and insist that ALL spas should be more like ... whatever it is that you prefer. If you enjoy being outraged, have at it. Alternatively, you could just go somewhere else that's closer to your personal Kinsey score.

But if you're gay in a straight spa, please don't engage in aggressive, open sexual behavior. Take it somewhere else. The many Kinsey 2, 3, 4 and 5's who want to see dick but not gay sex deserve to be allowed to have that space. And if you're straight and don't want to see hard dicks, do some homework about a spa before you go. This forum is a great place to start.

This is next level. (Can I hire you to write all of my future emails, blog posts, thank you notes, grocery lists, etc.?)

I went to Chung Dam in Philadelphia for the first time this week. I found it to be small and crowded. Small isn’t necessarily bad, but even at 3pm there was three guys in each tiny pool and in each sauna. I don’t like the partitions between the showers and tubs because I like to watch and be watched. The wet sauna was unbearably hot so that people were sitting on the floor to stay cooler? There was no cold shower to rinse in between the sauna and pool, which means people go drenched in sweat from the very hot sauna straight to the pool that you’re sitting in. I prefer when people rinse off in between. The water stream coming from the ceiling above the cold pool means if one person in the pool touches the stream then the whole pool gets sprayed in the face. The hot pool was filled with white specks floating around. Was that a feature or did it just need to be cleaned?

The front desk people were all nice. The locker room is big and clean. I enjoyed the dry sauna but wish I could lean back without the wall burning me.
Hi. A lot of what you saying is true for me too. The dry sauna wall in stone is absurd. And the ceiling fountain over the cold pool splashes everywhere.
As far as I saw people shower when they leave the sauna and steam bath and getting into the pool.
The place is great for a few hours of relaxation and touch other dudes and be touched. Guards are impossible to stand, and one must be careful. Steam is warm, indeed, but foggy and a lot can happen. Just make sure everyone is in the same vibe — normally they are. There is an old guy that likes to stand up on the bench inside the steam room: beware of that guy, he screams if you jerk and complains to the guards.
Also: when the steam room door open, act as if nothing happens. It can be a guard. It does add to a very sexy environment though.
Worst that can happen is to be screamed by a guard but I only saw that a couple of times tbh and after some jealous bitch went to complain.

Hello all, I will be in Las Vegas next week and looking at going to Imperial Spa. Is it good for Body Scrubs and is there a better scrubber that might scrub everything?
I am a local and can host here at my place...all clean and discreete.
