Because they're the ones with their heads screwed on properly and have their offscreen lives in order. In Kyle/Billy's case he seems to be happy with what he had but now he's focused on his bodybuilding and getting himself to the level of competing (I assume with the goal of attaining a pro card) and he seems to be quite happy with his boyfriend.
