Hope to see everyone there so we can swap stories & tips, over the beverages of our choice. Not sure how to handle the tab...

hey LA members,

i've gotten all your PMs and i apologize for not responding right away! for some reason everyone has been turning to me volunteering their help, and i think that's great. however, when did i become the designated go-to person for the LA meet up? LOL, i hope i didn't come off as the person who wants to be in charge here, but i sure do feel like everyone else unofficially appointed me that position. i think a contribution from all the members willing to volunteer would be more helpful anyway! (besides, if everyone left it up to me to decide we'd be chowing down at pink's on melrose and la brea and then stuffing our faces at pinkberry.) i'll do my best to respond to all your PMs this afternoon or evening. thanks again everyone!

Personally, *I* say we have a beach day/afternoon, like at Leo Carillo in San Pedro -- they have big AA meetings by the fire rings there as the sun goes down; why not us?

hi everyone, i'm updating again!

as of the moment the planning committee consists of me, jp_philosophy, and 7inchbender. if anyone else would like to contribute and help out let me know.

jp_philosophy and i have started talking about getting together to plan the LA meet up. we are going to do a prelimiary meet up to organize and get the ball rolling. however, we want to get an actual count of the number of people who are seriously willing to attend. if you're interested in coming, send either one of us a PM and let us know. please don't PM me and say you'll be attending only to back out last minute.

the details are still tentative so please check back for more info. i'll be updating throughout the week.
