Lebron James Thread

Doesnt matter what he does. He and his new camp will have to wait at least 2 seasons for a championship since Phil Jackson is coming back to coach the Lakers. And he wins championships in batches of 3.

lebron is a poseur. He is posing as the heir to jordan, and he is posing as a champion. I find it hilarious that he needs D wade, the best player in the NBA along with Kobe, to win a chip for him. No more legacy for lebron the choker now. Imagine Magic going to play with Jordan because he couldn't win a chip...lebron is still a scared little teenager despite his 6'9 frame and freakish ability and knack for folding when it matters.

Never have enough help? Consider this, in 2008-2009 Antawn Jamison averaged 22.2ppg, Mo Williams 17.8ppg, and Shaq 17.8ppg.
It's an interesting point; however, all of them showed decreases when paired with LeBron in 2009-2010. In Shaq's case, it might only be because he's nearing the end of his career. In Jamison's, he became less of a go-to guy when he was on the floor with LeBron. And Mo Williams, having played with LeBron in 2008-2009, is harder to explain. I always had the feeling that Cleveland's problem was the same as Miami's with D Wade-- At any given moment on the floor, you had one superstar and 4 guys standing around waiting for that superstar to do something. And eventually, a 1 on 5 game can't win. Don't forget that before Scottie Pippen developed into a star, Michael Jordan couldn't carry the Bulls by himself.

Of the things I detest reading about right now, the following two are toppers;
One-LiLo and her court date, being sentenced, and going on twitter to piss & moan.
Two-LBJ and his sudden switch from one team to another, and being so callous about it.
Pardon me whilst I prepare my PEPTO BISMO with a ZESTRIL chaser.:puke:

I think the real question is why did they all show decreases in performance when paired with Lebron? People make Lebron out to be this great passer similar to Magic Johnson. Well if Lebron's such a great passer, how come everyone around him seems to disappear or get worse come playoffs?

And yeah Scottie Pippen was good, but let's face it, If Jordan had three guys around him that averaged 17+ ppg the previous year, would he really need Scottie to win it all? I'll always contend this past year Lebron had enough help, he just wasn't good enough to lead his team.

I think he realized that after 7 years in Cleveland, he would never have the supporting cast there that would help him win a championship. What effort did Cleveland make during the offseason to try to improve its team? His Cavaliers teams were always beaten in the playoffs by more talented, well-coached teams than his. Give the guy some credit. He could have stayed in Cleveland and made a lot more money. But a fat wallet, a few more MVP trophies, some scoring titles, and lots of free time in May and June would be all he would have gained during his career if he had stayed there.

That's what they said about Paul Pierce when he joined the Celtics many moons ago, but eventually that all turned around when they started to finally form a real team around him and they eventually won a championship. That took more than 7 years to happen. From that angle alone, I can see why many people in Cleveland are upset at Lebron James for leaving. It's a real betrayal of loyalty.

Then again, the Cavs do need some serious help. Too many times it was James that had to run the entire show. He had the most points, rebounds, blocked shots, steals... every vital statistic in literally every playoff game for his team. The people running that organization had plenty of time to put together a solid team around Lebron and make the Cavs a real force. The fact that they couldn't do it is ridiculous.
