Used to go the "Red, White, and Blue" beach near me. Had a ton of fun. Had the same concerns as most before going, but soon reallized they were unfounded.

My biggest lesson?? While playing nude volleyball, if the ball is too far away, just lose the point....DON'T DIVE AFTER IT!! :eek:

that place has long been closed. i go to bonny now, even tho its no longer nudist friendly (but rarely enforced.)
 
Wow great pics yohoo- as a guy who loves getting nude at the beach I have to admit that it is primarily an erotic thing for me, love looking at other naked people and being naked in front of others too. I never know whether to fully believe the so called genuine nudists who claim that it's a totally non sexual thing for them- surely we all think about sex on a fairly regular basis, well I know I do, so it makes no sense to me that somehow when you get naked in the sun all thoughts of sex leave your mind, bizarre!
 
I felt that way the first time i went to a nudist beach but it doesn't last long, when i'm butt naked in the sun i just enjoy the felling of warmth all over and i just wanna relax i just don't think of sex. Though if i see a shapely woman pass by i may start to get the horn on but it quickly goes as mentally my mind isn't on sex and my body reacts with it (99 times out of 100 lol).

When you go out you don't want to have sex with every woman you see or come into contact with do you? Well its the same on nudist beach, being nude has nothing to do with sex its just a lifestyle.
 
I guess I'm a closet nudist in that when at home I'm nude almost all of the time (I live alone), butI don't know if I could get up enough nerve to be nude in public; however, if it was a deserted beach like the OP showed in his photos that would probably be okay.
 
Great thread here. I love being at a nude beach. Been at them all over the world and always research availability before travels. So for me it's some of all of the above, i.e. the naturalness of being naked in pure nature, sun, water, dose of exhibitionism, watching others naked, being seen naked by others - male and female. My ex-wife took me to my first experience at Black's Beach in San Diego. Been back several times, also Moor Mesa in Santa Barbara. Not so much a sexual experience but I do love sex on the beach. First gay thing I ever witnessed was two guys sucking each other's cocks on Singer Island in FL. That beach is no longer nude. Hot experience!

There are a few. Most are remote or frequented by men who are just lurkers, walk up and down the beach not looking at the sea, and put off the very women they wish were there.

Much better nude beaches in France. Very few of these pests if any and no-one is made to feel uncomfortable if they are not nude.
 
I've been going to nude beaches since 1977. Mostly went to Blacks Beach near San Diego. Pumped for show, and when it came along, took Viagra and Cialis to keep the blood up. Nothing like that look from the 1/100 women who love to look at cock and the 1/500 who spread their legs for YOU!

I'm 30 yo, I spent all my life playing football, going to the gym... I should be used to locker room, but to me, being naked means *have sex*! At least, it's how my body usually react...
And on the beach is the same. The few times I've been in a nudist beach, I was with my gf, and I was most of the time medium to rock hard... luckly they were lonely and almost empty beach (and especially wihtout children... damn who take children in a nudist beach!!!).

Great pics. I go to Germany in the summer, to a nude lake. Good looking people there. I have no problem going there, but it did take some time getting used to it. I now look forward to it. People in the USA are too uptight when it comes to this

First off - BEAUTIFUL pics!

I really enjoy the natural feeling of the elements on my skin, wind, sun, water - it's great, and can be mildly arousing too at time. It just feels so good to get naked in nature, and I find it really relaxing to do. I can at times find being naked in a beautiful natural environment erotic in a certain sense, like you're back in the lush original Garden of Eden - eco-eroticism, and I love pleasuring myself outdoors in the hot sun.

Being naked also satisfies the part of me that is an exhibitionist, and I like going to beaches where naturism is accepted - I quickly got used to being with other people, male and female, without getting an erection. So it's not 'just' a way to look at nude women and get horny - though it can be that too!

Being naked is also about being comfortable in my own skin - nothing to hide, accepting myself as I am.

To address the first statement, I think that nudism amongst other people and outdoors is not so much sexual as it is sensual, and it's like getting close to others without touching and totally opening up urself and leaving no secrets, thereby almost making strangers into friends, albeit temporarily.
I think you'll find the friendliest people on a nude beach - they are so non-judgemental.
BUT, it's a fine line and easy to cross into sexual if you choose to.
I'm very comfortable naked in front of others, I don't care if they are clothed or not. I find it disappointing and offensive when others take offense to my nudity.
Looking at a naked body is no different to looking at someones face, they are all different and some a pretty and some are pretty ordinary. The taboo is taught, and not necessary.
 
Erect or partial. I have the same problem. I guess I'm not so mature. I get glares from "traditional" nudists. I guess it's considered bad manners to sport a chub at a nude beach.
 
I've been a nudist since my 30s I guess when a girl friend and I went to a place in the Georgia mountains (north of Atlanta not far from Helen (can't think of the name)). I am naked at home all the time and even host naturist guests from couchsurfering.org. Surprisingly I get requests from guys who want to stay with me because they want to give it a tried. They're shy at first but realize there's nothing to it. Only once the guy came out of the bedroom and sat down and immediately got hard. He was embarrassed but I told him it was quite normal..... it went down and he became much more relaxed and said he loved the experience when he left.
