List of gyms with open/communal showers?

So does anyone have any experience with crunch fitness? I used to go to Planet Fitness but stopped around covid for a variety of reasons... they had changing stations next to their individual showers and no sauna. The crunch fitness that is opening near me (same price, like cheap $10/month) will have a sauna and also won't have any changing stations, just the individual showers...so I'm assuming this will promote more nudity...hopefully?

Being honest I've needed a cheap gym to go to and obviously being on this site enjoy the casual motivation of both male and female eye candy. Never sat in a sauna before and/or been to a crunch in general. Ours opens late July so I'd love to know what to expect... and what I can do to just throw out some show off/I like your cock vibes without getting thrown out.

Because they are cheaper...they tend to be very crowded at times. My experience was that they were crowded but clean. People tended to use the sauna by just taking off their shirt...wearing shorts and gym shoes. A few people showered at the gym...mostly those going to work.

In general, based on my travels across country the past 5 years [to visit each remaining open cs] your statement is mostly correct; in the majority of the USA , open showers are not widely used by the 18-35 age bracket.

HOWEVER, there are notable exceptions where because of long standing culture of the establishment, you will see groups of boys still in hs who proudly use cs as intended; Flagstaff Athletic Club, PrimeTime Fitness, Lake Norman Y, Red Bank Y, Bartlesville Y, Shasta Athletic, etc so it does happen and awesome to see

I haven’t seen that many guys in that 18-25 age bracket so comfortable with nudity anywhere else. It was refreshing to see. There was nothing cruisy about it, just guys being guys. Right! Like honestly I just want a gym that's got guys being comfortable being nude...I just hated when I was at planet fitness and they had the changing stalls, so guys would go from the locker room to the stall to the shower like some guilt tripped church goer. The crunch fitness in my city opens up in 2 weeks so I'm switching. I convinced a couple stroke buds to sign up since unlike PF it has a sauna (and also no changing stations which hopefully promote more locker room nudity). Don't necessarily care if I get any action as the main purpose is to work out, but really just want a place where people are more openly nude and accepting of their bodies.

Now if a guy gives me a quick feel in the sauna, not gonna complain haha.

There are a few. The Irving Park YMCA has communal showers. The Lakeview Y has an old communal shower area with small partitions between shower heads. A few of the Chicago Park District club houses still have communal showers. Gill Park comes to mind. King Spa has all open showers Korean style in the men's wet area where nudity is mandatory. And Steamworks has communal showers.

Yup, as much as technically possible which relies on guys to report renovations.
Theres a member on the communal shower subreddit [cdilfer] who adds / removes based on information shared with him.
Is the map perfect? Hell no, but a solid resource. Also, there are still “unknown” locations that aint on the map and when you know of one, should share either on this thread or that subreddit. [when I uncover a good spot I post on here & the subreddit]
