Lyrics game

That one was clearly too hard....
maybe this one will be easier
its another OLD one :biggrin1:

Once upon a time you dressed so fine
You threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn't you?
People'd call, say, "Beware doll, you're bound to fall"
You thought they were all kiddin' you
You used to laugh about
Everybody that was hangin' out
Now you don't talk so loud
Now you don't seem so proud
About having to be scrounging for your next meal

How about this one?

Lucky for you I was clearing out my closet and went to the upper shelf where the albums still reside. That would be from the band Streetheart (featuring a man named Kenny Shields-they were Canadian if memory serves) in the late 70s they released Under Heaven Over Hell, an interesting little endeavor, the song in question was the first song on that album and its name was (brace yourself) HOLLYWOOD.

That one was clearly too hard....
maybe this one will be easier (tweren't that hard if you had a Canadian collection)

Continuing along-

We've got the right to choose and
there ain't no way we'll lose it
this is our life, this is our song
we'll fight the powers that be just
don't pick our destiny 'cause
you don't know us, you don't belong

[Chorus]

Oh you're so condescending
your gall is never ending
we don't want nothin', not a thing from you
your life is trite and jaded
boring and confiscated
if that's your best, your best won't do

We're Not Gonna Take It. Twisted Sister

"Out of the blue and into the black
They give you this, but you pay for that
And once you're gone, you can never come back
When you're out of the blue and into the black

The king is gone but he's not forgotten
This is the story of a Johnny Rotten
It's better to burn out than it is to rust
The king is gone but he's not forgotten"

Well I do know this one - It's Neil Young from Rust Never Sleeps I don't know but it's probably the one with Crazy Horse as well it's Called ... My My Hey Hey (Into The Black) or maybe Hey Hey My My (Into the Black) or Out of the Black (Hey Hey My My) or someting Like that

Or it could be the accoustic one which is called My My Hey Hey ( Out of the blue) or something like that LOL

how about this one ....

Oh it's so funny to be seeing you after so long, girl.
And with the way you look I understand
that you were not impressed.
But I heard you let that little friend of mine
take off your party dress.
I'm not going to get too sentimental
like those other sticky valentines,
'cause I don't know if you've been loving some body.
I only know it isn't mine

I think that one is Alison by Elvis Costello Catch - am I right?

Mama,just killed a man,
Put a gun against his head,
Pulled my trigger,now hes dead,
Mama,life had just begun,
But now Ive gone and thrown it all away-
Mama ooo,
Didnt mean to make you cry-
If Im not back again this time tomorrow-
Carry on,carry on,as if nothing really matters-

:biggrin1:

Yeah yeah Galileo Figaro Beelzebub etc. etc.

That would be Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.

Next:

It's awfully considerate of you to think of me here
And I'm much obliged to you for making it clear
That I'm not here.
And I never knew the moon could be so big
And I never knew the moon could be so blue
And I'm grateful that you threw away my old shoes
And brought me here instead dressed in red
And I'm wondering who could be writing this song.
I don't care if the sun don't shine
And I don't care if nothing is mine
And I don't care if I'm nervous with you
I'll do my loving in the winter.
And the sea isn't green
And I love the queen
And what exactly is a dream
And what exactly is a joke
.
