Why hasn’t his career taken off yet he should be a superhero by now
probably because he has only done one thing that people know him from
It’s most likely because his contractual obligations to his series doesn’t leave much time for feature work. He definitely couldn’t commit to a blockbuster which can take most of a year to film. Undoubtedly Disney will want to keep him around once Blacki-ish ends. I can definitely see him in the Marvel or Star Wars universes.

Like others, I wonder if Disney has him under contract where he can only do a certain amount of outside work until he’s done with the show. Disney is known for contracts like that. He has done voice work for two releases and three other small films, but nothing big. I think it may be contractual.
He also hasn’t really had a huge role in Blackish until recently, so it may take time for people to figure out his range.
Either way, hope he gets more stuff soon.

I still agree that he's the best actor out of all the teen cast, i really hope he gets something good in the future and becomes more popular and don't just become ''that one guy who was really cute on that one show about a black family but didn't really got anywhere on his career'' *having flashbacks to everybody hates chris*

They shouldn't miles is supposed to be afro-Puerto rican and his mom is never drawn as afro latinx or dark skinned so i feel miles always should've looked mixed instead of him supposedly being an afro puerto rican who just looks black for some reason . I know white ppl think all of us black people look the same but obviously they are wrong we come in all mixes ad shades

I was going to say THAT. But, for real, HE should have been the one to have gotten the spin-off, he can carry a show and has natural comedic skills.

A lot of people are mixed race AND darkskinned and a ton of Puerto Ricans and other people of Latin America are too.
Can we please talk about that. Because Yara is a TERRIBLE actress. It’s like somewhere between staring at a cardboard box and drying paint. So boring. I love Yara as an advocate for causes & a speaker for her generation, but as an actress, she’s the worst.
One of the reasons she got the spin-off is because outside of acting, she built a hpresence in a way the others didn’t. She was so vocal and present in putting herself in front of relevant causes and issues, intelligently speaking and advocating. That gave her a big brand and platform.
Another huge factor is plain ol’ nepotism. Her father was Prince’s personal photographer & assistant, and her cousin is the rapper Nas. So she comes from a family that has connections, knows the industry, and understands how to get the deals.
