I agree. As an addict in recovery I've definitely gone down the 'weed' is the lesser evil. Intense CBT is ultimately the answer in my opinion. Advocating for substance abuse is kind of the antithesis of his wholesome mental health first shtick. Definitely don't want to demonize pot users but imo it's a cop out to actually being sober.

He definitely needs to go into therapy, any substance is bad if used for coping with something, be it food, be it alcohol, be it meds or drugs. People using weed try and say they are above it all and have control but they are still addicted and don't function well without, so there is enough base to seek support, and I hope he does as this route won't last long.

i don't think it's fine because i don't think they were 21 when that happened. but i also don't remember if the authorities got involved or not
