Masterbation Myth

Senor R (quote): "But even if masturbation were a factor, I think a right-handed masturbator would most often be bending his unit a bit to the right, and not the left.
The converse would hold for a left-handed masturbator."

I was thinking this same thing, too.

My ex jerked with his right hand and curved up -- no discernible curve to the right or the left.

My husband tends to jerk either with his right or two-handed, and curves just ever-so-slightly to the left -- so subtly you almost can't see it.

it's probably more a combination of genetics and the way your dick sits in your pants from day to day...

My guess, showstoppa, would be that it's probably all genetics, plus whatever accidents or diseases have descended on your penis.
Scarring, for example, can change the curvature of the penis a bit.
Trauma can damage either one of the corpora cavernosa.
Peyronie's Disease, of course, is identified through curvature of the penis.

I don’t think it is a myth at all I think it is to do with the action of masturbating If you watch some of the porn films and the hand arm action of the guy doing it, and you will see this correlates to the curvature if his cock.

I hear what some of you are saying "rubbish" its because his cock is curved that he masturbates in this way. Before you criticize check it out for yourself, study the anatomy (not penile) and study the movement the had grip etc. I think you will be surprised

I assume the supposition is that continual masturbation over many years shapes the penis as it gradually assumes the direction in which it bends, even if only slightly, in the masturbating hand.
I don't think there's any reason to believe this.
The real reason for curvature, I'm betting (though I don't really know), is that the left and right corpora cavernosa are of unequal size. The penis will bend away from the longer side.
But even if masturbation were a factor, I think a right-handed masturbator would most often be bending his unit a bit to the right, and not the left.
The converse would hold for a left-handed masturbator.

If sexplease is right when he says 40 percent of penises curve to the left while 90 percent of men are right handed, then it's pretty obvious that masturbation ain't no factor at all.
(I wonder where he'd get the stat about 40 percent curvature to the left, though ...)

Senor, you are totally right, the same issue with a dick pointing straight forward or totally up when erect. It has to do with the lenght of the muscles attached on it.

Nope! Always right handed (unless on cam and trying to type!) and mine goes straight forward. For a while (months, year or two maybe?) it did point to the left though (not a curve, pointing straight at 11 o'clock). I put this down to too many erections (maybe while still growing) in overly tight briefs. Wear boxers now!!

I have discovered a slight bend upwards though - didn't know until I took this photo

no, this is a myth. 40% of penises curve to the left and 90% of men are right handed. just a coincidence.

I would like to see evidence of this. My dick was straight when I was a teen, I can still remember it. But now it has a moderate curve left and I'm a righty. Did this happen naturally or is it a result of "your face is going to freeze like that". I seriously have this question too. Because believe it or not some peoples faces are frozen happy and some sad and so on; know what I mean.

I'm ambidextrous with a slight right hand bias from writing with my right hand. I usually masturbate with both hands (left around lower shaft, right around upper shaft), and with the right hand if I'm stroking one-handed. I don't have any left or right curve, but I've always had a "lean" to the left when hard, and a hang to the left when soft.

100% true. I always masturbated with both hands, and my cock is straight as an arrow.
