Since Michael Phelps wears his speedos so low and he doesn't have a totally flat butt, I imagine the hole created where the elastic can't adhere to his skin would increase the drag.

Gawd, the "V" lines some guys have pointing down from their hips just about push me over the edge. I notice a guy's eyes and his smile, but in terms of bodies, the "V" on a surferboy can cause my face to flush.
