I’ve seen the occasional story here and there but I truly wonder how many gay secrets there have been in the MLB over the years. Obviously the Golden Rule when it comes to stuff like this is ‘Don’t out someone’, but those stories make me extremely curious to who were involved. Does anyone have stories or have heard of something similar?

I’m a little late to this and I can’t speak to any specific stories but it’s pretty amazing (and frankly embarrassing for the sport) that there’s never been an active openly gay/bi MLB player. There’s only been 2 in US professional sports! Clearly there are some closeted players or ones that have came out only to their teammates—I’m all for respecting privacy but it’s an awful culture that’s been created
