Here are some from my "want" list on DVD. Why? These are some of my favorites.

Amateur Night At The Dixie Bar & Grill (1979)
Baby Blue Marine (1976)
Happy Birthday, Gemini (1980)
Miracle Of The Bells (1948)
Norman, Is That You? (1976)
Return To Macon County (1975)
Some Of My Best Friends (1971)
The Dollmaker (1984)
The Wild Life (1984)
Tribes (1970)
Where The Boys Are '84 (1984)

And Nudeyorker, I have It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad on DVD so it has been released. Maybe OOP now? (Did I get mads enough? LOL)

Thank you! I just ordered it. Either Amazon screwed up or I missed the notification.
PS You were one too many Mad but it would be mad to worry about it!

Rosalind Russell in "Auntie Mame". Although it has been released on DVD, the quality of the transfer was terrible and it should be re-released with bonus content. It was an early DVD release and was rushed through, it's a personal favourite of mine and the current disc doesn't do it justice.

I agree it would be nice to have a remastered release but it's not likely there is any bonus content available other than the trailer; It was only recently that all the fun things started getting saved for use. Sadly most of the bonus content was swept up off the cutting room floor ages ago.

Something for Everyone (1970)
Michael York having affairs with Angela Lansbury and everyone else in the house.

Used People (1992)
Shirley MacLaine, Kathy Bates, Marcello Mastroianni, Jessica Tandy, Marcia Gay Harden. What a cast in a family drama made into a comedy. Suitable for all ages.

Proof (1991)
Hugo Weaving, Russell Crowe. About a blind photographer.

Atlantic City, USA (1980)
Burt Lancaster, Susan Sarandon, directed by Louis Malle. American movie with a European taste.

Very true, on some of my favourite older movies they have interesting commentary tracks with film historians or documentaries featuring extra information about the movie. With my favourite films I always love hearing the scoop about the production process and what it was like on set etc.

It's out of print but if you can find Life Is A Banquet by Rosiland Russell and Chris Chase it's filled with some great stories about her life and films.

Welcome To LA

I'm really surprised by these two; they were essential parts of my early education really studying cinema. Another that springs to mind (and consisting largely of the same team as Welcome To LA) is a little miracle named Remember My Name. Depending on whom you ask, Siesta is either brilliant or a hot tawdry trans mess: I mean really! Ellen Barkin, Isabella Rossellini, Grace Jones and Jodie Foster all in the same movie: plus Martin Sheen, Gabriel Byrne and Julian Sands!

And then of course there's Thundercrack!, the only underground horror hard-core porn movie ever made. Do you think that the fact that two of the male characters' names being "Chandler" and "Bing" is strictly coincidental, then you underestimate the power of Thundercrack! to stain our collective consciousness. It makes Pink Flamingos look like a Disney production.

I forgotten about Something For Everyone! And Michael York wasn't too shabby on the eyes either back then.

And I wish TCM could play some gay films from the old silent era like Different From The Others)......and there were a bunch of the pre-Code era films that are still hardly seen to this day. Something about the old film movies interest the most.
