Forgive my ignorance, but what is a "burning man" ?
"Burning Man is an event held annually since 1986 in the western United States. Since 1991, the event has been located at Black Rock City, a temporary city erected in the Black Rock Desert of northwestern Nevada. The event is held approximately 100 miles (160 km) north-northeast of Reno. As outlined by Burning Man co-founder Larry Harvey in 2004, the event is guided by these ten principles: radical inclusion, gifting, decommodification, radical self-reliance, radical self-expression, communal effort, civic responsibility, leaving no trace, participation, and immediacy.[2] The event derives its name from its culmination, the symbolic burning of a large wooden effigy, referred to as "The Man," that occurs on the Saturday evening before Labor Day. I have never been, but a lots of gays go to this event. Lots of participants stay naked, and there is a pavilion where people have sex. Same with straight people.

It is indeed possible. I burned the rim of my glans while at the nudist beach a few years back. The skin peeled a bit a couple of days later and left a very smooth area, but I wouldn’t be keen to repeat the experience. I imagine they are either more used to the sun than myself (I live in Scotland) or they do use sunscreen on their knobs. I don’t know the best practice is for cut as all my naturist friends are uncut and my cut friends aren’t naturists.
I now usually apply something more oil based with a SPF of 15 or 20 and it does the trick. I tried higher protection factors and it absolutely sucked. The creamy white sunscreen does not get absorbed very well by the glans, so you end up with a very greasy and shiny knob. Besides, if you get anywhere near sand, it will stick to your cock head. I only apply it to the shaft and edge of the glans because of that. The largest part of the head I leave unprotected and I’ve yet to burn it. But then again, I normally don’t sit in the sun for hours.
Aren’t most Americans aged 25+ cut anyway? I would’t expect there to be too many uncut guys at such an event in the US, especially Nevada. A good female friend of mine is from Reno and we went on holiday together a few years back with her boyfriend and my girlfriend. We got fairly drunk one night and played strip poker. She lost first, so got fully naked, followed closely by my girlfriend. The boyfriend went all in soon after and I lucked out on the last card. I was still wearing my trousers, but we agreed to get both naked anyway. He was cut quite clearly. We are, but it seems political correctness demands equal time for our uncut brothers to show up in porn pix and videos.
