I had this conversation with a few people... I know who I think would make a great moderator.

Novice_btm~ The guy has excellent eyes for Trolls.

Hickboy~He doesn't give a shit about what people think about him.

Claire~She has a calming effect, but she seems to enjoy authority.:tongue:

I'm sure there has been a lot of speculation about who may apply and who may be appointed but I have seen nothing posted by anyone. That is why I started this thread.

Yes Jeff I agree entirely with your choices. Did they apply though? Time will tell......................

Agreed and they also have to have skin like a Rhino because every post they make will be scrutinised by the masses.

You are correct Trufit this site is a lot more tolerant than most and that is what makes it unique and successful. There have to be limits though and I think most folks accept that fact.

In my completely unscientific opinion, of the people you see banned:

85% were under 18
10% were spammers
2% were "trolls" who joined just to mess with people and disrupt the site
2% were people who posted under multiple identities to create the impression they were different people
1% were consistently nasty and disregarded warnings to chill out.

Dave's suggestion to read through the Terms of Service is a great idea for everyone.
