Scrolling through grindr i noticed that a lot of guys have no black guys in their description. Why is this?

Like I said in another thread I am bi for black only, so this kind of confuses me lol

Why? Because some people generally do not find people of African descent to be sexually attractive. For whatever reason there is a lack of neural wiring that would register that.

What are you imagining this thread would contribute to this topic that wasn't already covered in the other thread that's still on the first page of the forum?:

for black only and no black guys
both see/experience black men as other
both are equally confusing/offensive

For whatever reason there is a lack of neural wiring that would register that.
lack of neural wiring that would register that? what does that even mean? may i ask....based on what scientific /peer reviewed studies?

i offer the following list of peer reviewed studies consistently finding cross-cultural agreement in attractiveness preferences... and peer reviewed studies highlighting the role of social conditioning/interactions for the idea of other race....

we've lived in a racist society that has defined and privileged whiteness for nearly four centuries. social conditioning runs deep and people's 'preferences' tend to mirror the dominant power dynamics -- even those who don't explicitly support racism or are vocally against it harbor these biases, often below their own conscious awareness. the idea that this is down to 'neural wiring' is ludicrous and unsubstantiated.

Attraction is not down to any rules, you either fancy someone or you don't, what is the big deal as long as it's done politely. A lot of profiles on dating apps state "no fats" "no old" no whatever, who cares, it's an individual thing and this thread will do nothing to change that. The op says he is only bi for black, so he is a racist against chinese, indian, white?

People are happy to acknowledge that hiring someone based on their skin is racist. But somehow, dating someone based on their skin is not. We’re comfortable (theoretically) with integrating our schools and workplaces, but we stop short when it comes, quite literally, too close to home.

As others have said it's a personal choice. Some may not like guys of Asian descent while others prefer them. When I was younger I wasn't attracted to guys with a bit of a belly, preferring more muscle-y types. Now that doesn't bother me. Some guys don't like men with red hair. Others are turned off by uncut dicks. If I were African American I would appreciate that a guy was upfront about not being attracted to black men. Wouldn't waste my time and I'd keep scrolling...

I shouldn't have said bi for black only as that is not really true. I am just current actively seeking black guys to blow. I am just saying (even when it comes to women) i don't restrict any race tbh.

I've noticed that it's not only black guys but Asian guys that people discriminate against as well. I've read many 'no blacks or asians' on grindr. Sad, but some will say it's a preference. You know what, I can't argue with that.

if you were a black man... you would know what it is to be black in america....in this particular post... i argue that paradigm shift would alter every word you wrote after that...

amazing how easy it is to tell others how to live with racial discrimination...

This has been discussed before many times. In most cases, if you're black and gay, men of other races either do not want you at all or they only want you for your penis because they think you're hung and you will most likely top. That's it. I don't care if you're white and you just read this, if you're not white and you just read this. This is literally the reality for most gay/bi/whatever black men. I feel like a decent number of black men are broken (from living in post-slavery societies) and have just come to accept their role as the big black brute with BBC among gays (similar to those black people that had their brains removed from Get Out if anyone has seen that movie). Whatever floats your boat I guess.

I Constantly see variations of "No fats, No fems, No Blacks, No Asians" on dating sites. More on Gay sites than Straight sites. I have never turned anyone down for race. It's shitty constantly seeing that you're not wanted. That "it's about preference" is bullshit at best when you put it that way. When I get an inquiry from someone I'm not into for any reason I just politely decline. That's all ya need to do. To go so far to post which races, body types or features you're not willing to deal with under any circumstances is not only selling yourself short, it's also being an ass. Post what you like and that's it. That shows preference. Saying No this, and No that is fucked up. Yeah, it has racist undertones to it.

Not EVERYTHING is about race. We have the last clown in the white house for this. He AND his wife made EVERYTHING about race, and honestly, why we are having so much trouble now.

Do you know what actually happens when you get offended??

NOTHING!!! You get over it and MOVE ON. Whether it's a dating/sex partner preference, or who is or isn't going to bake your wedding cake. It's just NOT that big of a deal in the grans scheme of things

Typical White guy response.

I don't care how hot you are if your profile says no blacks, no fems, no fats or any of that bullshit there's no me either. Like you're so amazingly beautiful you can't just politely ignore someone that you're not attracted to if they send you a message? Racist or just narcissistic with no empathy I don't want anything to do with you.
