We have a version of Hillbilly called bogan. We also have eshays which are a whole other thing I can’t be bothered to explain (like our version of British chavs, see heartbreak high one of the characters in that is an eshay).
He’s a really odd mix between a bogan and an eshay - his town (The Gold Coast) is basically perfectly split between eshays, bogans and rich out-of-touch types - so it makes sense it could happen but I’ve never seen them mixed together haha
I wish this hillbilly/bogan fad would end. Like idk but it's never been cute to me. I guess it is to some or else it wouldn't be so popular.
