nudity during physical exam

I just had my annual dermatology exam and it was very different. I've shared previously about my experience with this doc, whom I've been seeing for about 20 years (last one was a creep!). Usually they ask me to strip to totally naked and give me a paper gown, but this time I was fully clothed and he just asked me what areas I was concerned about. Since I was only worried about my bald head, ears, and arms, that's all he looked at.
Same thing happened to me too at my annual dermatology appt. Usually they have me strip naked to my underwear or naked with a paper gown. No paper gown this time and they said you can keep your shorts and shoes on. But during the course of the inspection and as we talked the doctor then had me take off my shoes to see my feet. Then I eventually dropped my shorts too...and he always asks if there is anything on my butt or groin areas. If there is then I pull my underwear down briefly as he looks around. But they are all pretty good. I once had to go see him for a mole on the crown of my dick. He was fine and inspected it and I even had him cut the abrasion off. Surprisingly it didn't hurt much and healed perfectly. Top notch dermatologist...and he's very attractive too.

Nope, never been nude. My annual physical exam occurs in the summer so I wear shorts and a shirt to the office. I'm asked to remove my shirt. Otherwise, when its time for the DRE of the prostate, I'm asked to pull down my shorts and bend over.

My testicular cyst is really bothering me, so I have an appointment Monday with a pain management specialist who deals with this condition. I have never been to him before, but he is an older gentleman from Egypt. The person who made the appointment said that it will be a longer time, since I have to have a complete assessment. When I went to the last pain management specialist, it entailed my being naked from the waist down and a rather thorough handling of the area. He has retired, so I don't know what to expect from this one. I'll report after the exam.

Has anyone had an exam since Covid-19 began? Wondering if there are any new guidelines for exams now? Do most offices still offer gowns? Paper or cloth? I never use the gown but was just curious. I haven't worn underwear since mid-March and wasn't planning on wearing any to my appointment later this month.

I had my APE last month. It was PEC (Plain, Everyday, and Common)=the same-same as the one I had last year. The only notable exception was the digital prostate exam was no longer required this year. It was offered as an option, which I passed on, as I think the PSA as part of the blood work is a more reliable metric, and an earlier indicator than the digital diagnostic.
YMMV, and invariably will...
[Edit: forgot to mention, I was told to strip to the underwear (no gown).]

Had an exam last month. Funny enough it was for a penis issue. Had a slight tear in my frenulum. I was given a cloth gown to wear. The doctor did wear a mask though. Everything else seemed normal.

I went to the pain management specialist this morning to try tor resolve the pain from my testicular cyst. Since it was my first visit to this particular dr., I was told that he would have to do an evaluation. SO, I was taken into the exam room by the nurse who asked me several questions and then told me to undress completely below the waist and put this paper sheet over me. After I did, the doctor came in. Unfortunately, the nurse also came in , but she was seated on the other side of the room at the computer, with her back to me. He asked pretty much the same questions, then told me to lie down on the table. He took off the paper sheet , leaving me completely naked below the waist, and began palpating my stomach to see if any pain was present. There wasn't so he moved down to the groin and began doing the same thing. Thee was a little twinge on my left side, just to the left of my penis. He then took my penis and squeezed gently, asking if I had any pain. I didn't, so he moved to the testicles. The right one had no problem with being squeezed and manipulated, but, when he squeezed the left one, pain shot through my groin. It was like he had kicked me. He felt around for the cyst, located it, and manipulated it to see how big it was and the location. After that, he put the sheet back on me and told me I could get dressed. They left the room and he came back by himself and told me to schedule a genitofemoral nerve block to top the pain to the testicle. I will have one on Oct. 7. They use ultrasound to located the nerve in the groin and then inject an anesthetic. I've had one before and it was pretty effective. It lasted about a year. My testicle still hurts from being squeezed, but, if the injection helps, it would be worth it

I love it! Had a superbly HOT primary care doctor, women from Ukraine here in US.and I loved to strip down for a physical. Sadly, my insurance changed and I had to swap doctors. BUT my dermatologist is also hot, and she WANTS me naked to check every last inch of my body for skin cancer, etc. since I let her know I'm a nudist and spend summers out naked in the sun. She commented once on my even tan all over, which surprised her I guess. And since she's totally about skin,,she's not shy to touch anything that needs a close up look, inspection, a tug or a poke. I can't wait for my next appointment later this month.

Just had my first annual medical / physicalafter covid19 started, Have these annually for my job. Usually full nude, just in past depended on what you were told to do. This time told strip off but given what they called a gown but I'd describe it as a plastic poncho. Translucent - but not transparent - almost like one of those disposable rain ponchos but not as wide. No hood just an elesticated neck. No idea what this was supposed to do with respect to covid19. Perhaps I have found a new kink as at most I've been semi in one or two physicals never hard but this time completely erect. No comments made from doc, didn't bat an eyelid. Pointless item to wear. I had wondered before how full a physical they would do in the current scenario but it was full, rectal genital everything. We were told to dump the gowns in the bin in the changing room. Being plastic it made me sweat a lot, so used the shower, never used one after medical before, discovered it a small open one with a central pipe with 3 shower heads but no-one else there at the time. If only been a few minutes later just finished dressing a cute possibly Chinese 20-or-so came in more or less ripped off the gown revealing a semi. I went hard again. But had to leave.

Had my annual physical this past Tuesday. I free balled in jeans so when I was asked to undress they gave me a gown to wear. Doctor lifted gown up to chest to palpate my stomach. Had me stand and lift gown for hernia and testicular exam. I like that he always explains what he is doing and why he is doing it. Had me bend over table for visual exam of anus then back on the table laying on my side for a prostate exam. He said, "I'm just going to lube you up" which he did, then said, "I'm going in." He then gave me a running commentary as he swept his finger around the walls of my rectum and then pressed on my prostate which gave me a semi and caused some leakage. Told me everything looked good and that I could get dressed while he went to fill out a form for me. No tissues though so I went home with a still lubed up ass.

Had a urology appointment. Was told to just keep clothes on, and drop shorts when asked. Despite having complaints that would indicate a DRE, he only did a testicular and hernia exam. I've been told that I am under 40 so it's not time for that. I guess I will have to ask them to do it - awkwardly.

It could be related to the pandemic, as they have to take extra precautions with any type of body fluid. I prefer them to just be thorough.

After talking with a friend who has the same physician's assistant, found out not everybody gets the same treatment. He strips at the end of his physical to have the regular hernia and prostate check. I'm asked to strip at the beginning of the appointment after the pleasantries and stay naked through the appointment. I never thought much about it. The PA's a cute cub (gay) and talkative and friendly. He likes to talk about travel and sports, the whole time I'm there naked. I have a small variocele in my left scrotum so he takes his time examining it. My very first appointment with him years ago, I focused on work and deadlines to try to not get hard but when he went from examining my my balls to picking up my cock, I couldn't hold my thoughts and felt it puff up in his hand. Didn't know if I should ignore it or say something or what. He was cool and just said "don't worry about it" as he held my hard cock. We kept chatting. That first appointment was also my first digital prostate exam. It was uncomfortable but wasn't painful enough to get my boner down. He was at the sink washing his hands after and I walked over to where he was to throw out the tissue he gave me to wipe up. My hardon bopping against my belly. I swear I caught him looking. Every annual checkup after that first is a repeat except he doesn't hide looking at my cock. I don't mind and we don't talk about anything sexual so doesn't feel inappropriate. A lot less stressful to not worry about how my body might react.

I am a doctor and I've never asked a patient to be totally naked during physical examination. As a conservative community it will be inappropriate to do that whether it is a female or male patient. I only ask the patient to uncover the parts necessary and related to his/her complaint.

Got an appointment in a couple days with my fav' physicians assistant who is, to me, very 'outdoorsy' hot and even though I'm 40 years older than her, she likes my lifestyle I'm gonna be sure to pump the night before and ';plump' it up right before she comes in room and wants me to drop that gown and be naked. Cant' wait to show off, just a bit anyway. Just for the look in her eye, and that sweet smile, and usual compliments on what shape I'm in for almost 70 years old. Makes my day for sure. And to think, my insurance and Medicare cover this eroticism for free !!

I've never been so asked by a GP, or any health service doctor (and never been in hospital except to casualty for a elbow injury).

But private health clinics for routine annual company medicals paid for by company nearly always. Perhaps they are less of a community, more production line business ?

Replying to myself, having got disconnected, I've been with this company 16 y now, and the annual medical is always the same, with the same supplier, although they've changed site twice. The second site you stripped off in one room adjacent, before seeing the doc, and walked in nude.

I don't know why there is such difference between hospitals and private clinics. I live in the Middle East where culture implies certain rules over patient-doctor relationship. One important thing we trained to do in Medical school is to respect our patients' dignity, privacy and personal choices and culture. I even had to examine some woman with clothes on and sometime their faces are covered !! LOL

Not sure I ever had my diginity or choices or culture disrespected; as for privacy, it is a very welcome change from daily routine to be invited to strip nude.
