OJ!

In case you didn't know the attorneys for both sides pick the jury, they're not assigned by any one person, so don't start with the racist crap here. He had a mostly black jury at his murder trial.

Hopefully he'll die in prison and we'll never have to hear about his sorry ass again.

I will not hold back from starting "racist crap here", because we all know race is the big elephant in the room that everyone is afraid to talk about. It was an all white jury. I don't care how you look at it, that isn't right. The OJ Simpson saga has ALWAYS been about race. White people want him dead, black people want him free.

There are inherent racial bias' in most people, and to subject a witch hunt of a case, with a racially charged OJ saga, to an all white jury is pretty fucked up. And both sides may have to do with picking a jury, but it isn't that simple (Over the objections of the defense...");

O.J. Simpson to Face All-White Jury

So for the majority of our nation's lifespan rich white plantation owners have been killing and murdering black folk and getting away with it. But then OJ Simpson comes along, possibly gets away with the murder of two white folk, AND WHITE PEOPLE LOSE THEIR FUCKING SHIT LIKE ITS THE END OF THE WORLD. Some people need to get over themselves for real.

The rage, anger, and bitterness regarding anything OJ is telling. I ask people to take a moment of self reflection, and you don't have to answer this in a post but be truthful to yourself, and think is it the man, OJ, that you hate, or the color of his skin? If he was white, or the people he killed were black, would you have the same seething anger towards OJ?

Pretty much, yes. People hate OJ not because he 'got away with murder' or because he's black, but because he behaved like an unscrupulous ass. Have you actually listened to the things he's done over the past few years? Whether he did it or not, his behavior was borderline cruel to the family members. If he'd have just gone away or been more respectful, the animosity wouldn't be there.

I dont care what charge they get him on, the smug murdering prick deserves to be locked up

you're bringing up something that had nothing for do with this trial.

i don'tthink race had anything for do with the jury's decision. i do, however, think it was an impartial jury because of oj's last trial.

(let me break out my galoshes here...plenty of BULLSHIT to wade thru....)

Oh for real? So there was never really animosity to being with?

The level that we're seeing? The ha-ha I hope he gets roped and groped in prison stuff? Not as much, no. When a high-profile person gets in trouble with the law, you're going to have over the top crap, no matter the color. Are you trying to say that if OJ was white and everything went on as it did with the verdict and subsequent "If I Did It" crap the reaction here would be different? It doesn't have as much to do with skin color as it does celebrity, IMO. What about the giddy reactions when Pris Hilton was hauled away in cuffs, was it because she was white? Of course not. It was because she scoffed at the law and people were thrilled to see the rich get their comeuppance. I feel the same thing is going on here with OJ, he got off then proceeded to pretty much scoff at the law and got busted again in some charade trying to get his stuff back that he attempted to sell under the table to avoid paying his dues.

What's even more ironic is he's only imprisoned for the gun charges, and not murder.

Ah, well, prison is prison.

do you know the definition of irony? and why would he be charged with murder for this case? why am i one of the few peoples in this goddamned country that can remain impartial? holy fuck

Whats so great about being impartial towards a double murderer?

Youre too kind. No really, you are.

because, as a juror (and a as a judge, for that matter) you're expect for be impartial. it has nothing for do with me being nice or not. i just have the ability for be able for try someone based on what they're on trial for, as opposed for brining up something someone had been tried and found innocent of.

Do you know what the fuck I'm talking about when I mentioned murder? How about the murder of his wife & Ron Goldman. Of course they're separate; I was saying we couldn't get him in jail for murder, so now we get him for armed robbery.
Sweet Jesus, how some idiots can be that obtuse is beyond me.

yes, i know what you're talking about. but you yourself just said that, since you didn't get him on murder, you're happy they got him for something (whatever it may be). and, to me, that's saying that you wouldn't have remained impartial. as i've said a million times in this topic, the prosecution did not prove that he had murdered his ex and her boyfriend. you may feel that he murdered them, but it was never proven. so, as fas as you'll ever know, he didn't kill them.

and yes, as i said, i full on believe that he killed them. but i'm not gonna go on all "oh, well, since they didn't get him for the murder he committed, i'm sure happy they got him for something!"

You better get over this sanctimonious bs of yours and-FAST!

Irregardless of why he didn't get convicted of murder, he's still in jail; that's all that counts, that's what people will care about. The fact that he's finally paying for something to the tune of 33 yrs, with possibilty of parole in 9 yrs.
That's all I'm content with saying, that's all you're getting. My opinion, my right to express it.

'Nuff said.
