Who has a favourite fork, knife or spoon?

Sounds a little odd doesn't it? But we have a cutlery drawer overflowing...full of knives, forks and spoons. Varying shapes and sizes.............. But.....I have to admit, I have my favourites.

Out of the multitude of spoons there are but 4 that fit my liking. Right shape, size and handle. Forks are the same...long handle and fit just right into my hand....and knives...don't get me started....

Am I fussy?

Yet I eat my fruit, with porridge (oats) and honey straight out of the saucepan in the morning.... what goes into my mouth though..apparently is important...)

My old man had his favourites too.............an old bone handled knife and fork.....maybe it's heriditary :)

There are two spoons I would fight people for.

1. Part of a Korean Sujeo, the most amazing spoon to ever spoon. Used for all spoon related activities. Minus impromptu spoon accompaniments during folk song jams.

2. The cereal spoon. Like maybe a few mls short on capacity to being an official ladle. Excellent for hoovering up cereal. Sometimes soup. Never ice cream, guaranteed terminal brain freeze.

In 1984 I lived in Birmingham U.K. In Birmingham's Rackhams Dept. Store I purchased two stainless steel Russell pattern dessert spoons. I liked this particular spoon's design pattern and size as it was larger than spoons that Mom typically set out for eating cereal. I already had a Russell pattern fork and learned something very useful about forks from then PM Margaret Thatcher. In a TV interview PM Thatcher mentioned "Dennis likes cakes" and instead of a whisk she whisked her eggs with a fork. I have also done this as an alternative to using an electric hand mixer.

In 2017 I visited family relations in Georgia. During my stay my beloved generous uncle gave me a ticket to attend a charity dinner dance with him - as he knew that I liked to dance. The event was held at a hotel in Atlanta and it was delightful. Delicious Jamaican food was served and I danced to old school dancehall music. A gold plated steel oneida fork served as my memento of the occasion. It is one of two forks that I like best for their design and rigidity.

I have my set, and my grandmothers pattern, both for four.
My strong preference is for my grandmothers patten, salad fork for almost all uses.

Spoons, I have a wooden carved spoon, likely meant as a tea spoon, that delights me in balance and heft. Or lack thereof. It works beautifully with my favorite hand thrown bowl, with all its wobbliness.
Knives are mainly prep tools, but I have grandma’s actual butter knife. The fancy version, not the ones used to cut food during a meal.

I have a favourite glass to drink from at my grandmother's place, and my grandfather has a similar one. :)
I hope my grandparents will be around for a long time still, but things like that (the glass, her baking recipes) I hope to inherit one day. :)

I actually have a cup in the cabinet that holds some old bakelite handle silverware. And that's what I use when I bring my lunch to work. It doesn't go in the regular silver drawer, and hubby knows where it goes when he empties the dishwasher.

I'm the only one that uses it. I only have a couple of pieces each, but I love them because they're pretty.

I also have a favorite coffee cup that I wash and use every day. I'm pretty particular about that.

Now, let's talk about favorite burner on the stove. Front right, of course.

I probably posted this because it says humans can be somewhat predictable. I saw something the other day where a problem was solved...it took 20 moves to solve a Rubix Cube, from any point of mish mash (Layman term for (scientifics) :). I think it was the TV program Through The Wormhole?

Reason being is to predict human behaviour for advertising, targeting etc. To assist with AI programming, advertising targeting etc.

Now, for some reason this was looked upon as amazing science. Yet, I would think it amazing science if AI could predict the unpredictable in human behaviour. Isn't that why we have evolved, because of our unpredictability, and slipped backward because we are predictable.

Yet, I doubt we are in danger because we have a favourite Knife, Fork or Spoon.........that's what makes us comfy and a wee bit emotional ........I can imagine you staring daggers at someone who was using your favourite fork :) :)...Unless it was being inserted between this guys lips...
