He is not what you would necessarily call conventionally handsome. For example, Chris Evans is someone who most majority of people in modern world who would considered conventionally handsome.

Pedro, actually looks more wholesome than handsome, in my opinion. He doesn't look threatening, has a super cute smile due to his cheeks, very much a next door type of guy. I believe this is why he has gotten so popular lately. We all want someone who looks approachable and wholesome, whereas some of the other actors are not quite approachable.
