Peyton Meyer - New

He will be playing gay character 🔥 🔥 🔥 on Days
I don’t know if this is exactly right. There’s been no indication that his character is gay in any of the spoilers I’ve seen. His character does seem like the type to be who he needs to be when he needs to be it, if you know what I mean. He’s a bad boy with a conscience. Peyton has chemistry with everyone he works with so they could pair him with just about anybody and there’d be sparks. I just hope Ron doesn’t pair him up with Leo.

I don't get this assumption that he is gay either. People are confusing an off-hand comment from Julie's brother Steven about his gay son Spencer with this new character of Doug. The two have nothing to do with each other. Doug III's father is Douglas LeClaire and a biological decedent of Doug Williams, all characters who were on the show in the 70s. Spencer and Doug are unrelated, literally.

With respect I completely disagree. I’ve said it before, there is nothing wrong with starting in a soap opera. Soap acting is legitimate acting. As a lifelong soap watcher I know the level of talent and skill it takes to act in a soap. Can you imagine doing 80 pages of dialogue with little or no rehearsal. I think it’s a testament to him as an actor that he was cast. Soap acting is not a step down. In fact he should get more recognition and exposure from Day Of Our Lives.
It's a step down in terms of pay and schedule, but it's a check, so he can't really complain.

If you are going to be on any Soap. The goal is to be Young and the Restless and General Hospital (back in the day it was highest rated behind YR) due to higher pay and better scheduling. DOOL has been demoted to streaming now.

DOOL also has a grueling schedule, so I do agree with your point about work ethic. They film SIX months ahead. That is crazy.
