Do piercings still have "encrypted" meanings?

I remember, growing up, that if you had an earring in one side or the other it announced that you were gay... And, presumably, there are other subtle cues as well.

Is there a list/chart somewhere?

Just upped my nipple piercing from the bog standard 1.6mm to 3mm, used bulls horn stretchers to get there.

And, as my 000ga tribal dream ring PA had started to migrate out, I just - literally today - got a reverse PA (or apadravya, as I've already got the other half).

I had my piercer go to 2.4mm - as big as she was prepared to - and am wearing a 22mm BCR in it.

It definitely hurt more than the PA when it was being done, to be expected I suppose, but it's fine now; and very little bleeding.
