pining hurts

Are you a licensed arborist?

Well, of course! Although in Canada I'm a licensed Arbourist (b/c we care about 'U'!) specializing in anal extraction of both coniferous and deciduous species. Got a stick up your ass? I'm your girl! :biggrin1:

Ok, but I truly think you'd be so much happier in my warm, lubey hands...:dunno:

I am removing the pinecone....then I'll leave that area alone. I swear! :biggrin1:

I feel for you Dolf...I have had my share of pining....I live with my hubby and when we are not together I feel as if a part of me is missing.

I also totally understand how it feels to have an ocean between you and a special person. I hope you get to see your guy soon.

*sending hugs to Dolf*

Ok, but just be careful, we have to plant any of the seed that have germinated. Gotta fight global warming any way possible.

Oh, and Dragon, I don't trust you with surgical instruments around my brownstar.

this was not how i expected this thread to turn out...

I apologize dolfette...I really do. I am so sorry you are so far away from your love, but I am so happy that you have found him.

I didn't want to answer because I lost my love and I still pine for him - and the weight of my grief feels like concrete on my chest. Sometimes I miss him so much I can't breathe. I've lost hair and weight. It's been months and I'm waiting for it to feel better. I know what it's like to pine.

Dolfette, being in a long distance relationship myself (well mostly anyway) I can strongly identify with what you are going through. Pining does physically hurt. While I can't say that anything makes it better because for me it doesn't.Things to take your mind off of how you feel should work to an extent. Everything I do reminds me of him or something we do together so it's not that easy. Sometimes talking about him to my friends works, sometimes it makes me miss him more. I try to go out as much as possible now and just be with people who can genuinely take my mind off of him temporarily.

I find that's while nothing completely works because he is always in my heart and mind talking to him seems to ease the pain.

I am sorry you are going through this but when you see him again it will make the connection between the two of you that much stronger. It does for Craiggers and I.

*hugs to you dear I genuinely feel your pain* my pm box is always open to you should you need it.

I will say this. I remember this being the one thing that helped me the most. Make plans for when you'll see each other again. Having something to look forward too gives your emotions a direction and focus instead of just being a huge messy pile of poo. I remember that when George would go home, I'd be desperately sad and lonely until we made a date for when he'd be coming back. Once that date was set I'd still miss him, but it wasn't nearly as painful because I KNEW when I'd be seeing him again.
