Has anyone here got/been diagnosed with polyzoospermia, which is the medical term for an unusually high sperm count? According to one definition it's a count of over 250 million per millilitre of semen, or a total sperm count in excess of 800 million.

No, and I had not heard about it until you mentioned it. If it wasn't for reading that it can sometimes be associated with fertility problems I would have thought it was something a guy would boast about. I do wonder if we even know how often it does cause fertility problems because a guy would generally only know he had it after having been checked out because the baby wasn't happenning so we probably have no idea how men have a very high sperm count and no fertility problem.

It was also interesting to read two theories about fertility issues: the one about there being too many sperm for the amount of sugar in the semen to keep them active, hence adding dextrose can help, and the one about the balls essentially being in too much of a hurry to get the acrosome right.

BTW, I asssume we are talking about a standard sample after three day's abstinence. I have seen a post from someone elsewhere who managed to get the total in one ejaculation to about 1.5 billion but that was because he hadn't cum for ages and many of them were dead.
