How was your first prostate exam experience?
I never had one. Recently I had a nightmare about getting my first prostate exam at the doctor office. Couldn’t remember the details, but only me screaming and keep asking if it’s done. The exam didn’t finish when I woke up being all scared and sweating.
I know it sounds weird but it is true.

Take your finger, stick it in a jar of jelly. Now take that finger, purse your lips, stick that finger through your pursed lips, touch a tooth on the side of your mouth. Tooth there? Okay, pull finger out of mouth through still pursed lips. Done. Clean jelly off your lips - but don't use tongue, your ass has no tongue of it's own, wipe away the jelly.
That's the prostate exam, it's really nothing. The worst part is most Dr.'s don't offer you a tissue to wipe up - so ask for one.

The best teeth cleaning apt. is far worse than the worst prostrate exam, & most get teeth cleaned 2x/year.
Prostate Exam is literally nothing, but can save your quality of life, or even your life.
DO IT, then laugh at yourself afterwards. It's such a non-event.

As part of a major check up that I wanted, I was sent to a doctor for prostate exam. Was nothing sexual or enjoyable about the prostate check up. Gave urine. Then went to next room with Doctor. He lubed up gloved finger, one quick plunge in then out, was over. No need to go farther, said I was fine.

Was in and out of office fast.

I remember my first prostate exam and was scared like you, especially after going through a complete physical exam totally naked of course, then the last and scary part was getting the prostate exam, but much too my surprise, it quick and didn't feel a thing happen. The only fears, I had started when doing the medical paper work, the long wait to be called in by the nurse, then being told by her to undress completely. I didn't undress all the way at first, kept my snug speedo briefs on while waiting for the doctor. A few minutes after the doctor started my exam, I was told those bottoms have to come off now and once naked, he did the prostate exam. it was very quick and again, I never felt a thing. So just go with whatever happens and you'll be fine.

Straight men are more worried about the exam than we gay ones are. I remember when my doctor said that I would feel slight pressure when he inserted the finger, I told him that I'd had had many larger body parts in there. There is never anything to worry about, even if you have never been "penetrated" before.

The most interesting thing about my first prostate exam was that my dad was sitting there watching !

But like everyone else said, it doesn't hurt, is not even uncomfortable. I would rather get 100 prostate exams than get my teeth cleaned, which hurts like hell, and that ultrasonic thing kills my ears.

My doctor always provides me with tissue to wipe excess lubricant away.

Had so many I've lost count. The worst part is getting naked in front of a doctor. I have a P.A. that I have been seeing for years. A great guy that I can talk to just like I talk to you guys. He's very professional and even wipes the lube off afterwards.
Don't put it off. It could save your life and like the other guys have said it's totally non sexual

Every Physician I have ever had give me a prostate exam has always used an outrageous amount of lubricant and then the pull out their finger and hand me ONE tissue which has never been enough but they usually leave the room so you can find the tissue box and use what you need. The last two exams he handed me a tissue and I just casually said "You know 1 tissue is never enough" He just laughed a bit and left the room.

I have never been to a Urologist for a prostate examination to date. The Primary Care Physician has always done it over the years. For the last several years my Primary Care Physician is a Female Physician which relies on the blood test and the blood test has been in the acceptable range. The Female before her though always used the "finger wave" method.

The last two prostate exams were done by a Female not a male Physician as I stated.

I'm 59 but had my first one a few months ago. Didn't hurt or anything like that but I could swear that once my back was turned her hand turned into one of Andre the Giants.
