I don't really know..... TBH, I have mixed feelings about this especially knowing how Mindgeek (Aylo will be hard to catch up on) ruined gay porn studios like men and Sean Cody,Men became oversaturated with gay4pay pornstars giving lackluster performances and even tried inserting bi porn into gay porn, thank goodness for the backlash as that ship sailed making them to create their own bi porn studio but since the ship sailed, men have been looking for one way or another to bring women in every scene,if they are not spouses being cheated on then they are there as waitresses or in front of people's salads and don't get me started with Sean Cody and how boring the pornstars have been now. When mindgeek acquired men and Sean Cody, they just invested on the equipment, sets etc but less on the performers. This is one of the reasons Legrand wolf left Mormon Boyz after it was sold to pink visuals who tried to replicate Mormon Boyz success in their straight porn Mormon girlz,it was a complete failure as they chased and alienated their audience, now the site is completely defunct
At the very least though, it's only a collaboration but for how long? We all know Mindgeek is testing the waters to see how successful it will be and with Rhyheim's star power,it will be mega successful then they will throw in the blanket and buy the whole site from Rhyheim as that's the trope for each business, Meta bought WhatsApp and Instagram and turned it into something else deviating from the vision of their founders. I just hope Rhyheim won't say "had I know" the way Legrand did, these corporations owned by mostly straight people have their own agenda.
I would've honestly preferred if he struck a deal with Carnal media instead,Carnal is owned by Legrand and his hubby, they both founded it as a site for gay men by gay men after the shitshow they went through with Legrand's sister with Mormon Boyz, they even bought gunzblazing, the biggest gay porn affiliate site in the world, they would've shared Rhyheim's vision than mindgeek and Rhyheim would trust them to carry on if eventually there's an acquisition
The silver lining is the rebranding as mindgeek is now Aylo so maybe with this new management, they will respect and listen to their fans than the old ones and they seem to be heading to the right direction with this collaboration with voyr which is a diverse studio with Aylo's spokesperson saying that their rebranding will include more diverse content,I just hope it's a diverse content that won't alienate fans,I will be watching and supporting for now
